Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

@BakeOffRewatch thank you for the breakdown. I think I will probably buy but won’t be pre ordering as they say delivery will be 20-29th August and I’m away then. I had liberty last year but was underwhelmed but this looks more exciting to me, except the elasticizer

MrsBnow12 · 02/07/2025 18:42

@BakeOffRewatch Thank you for the breakdown saves me doing my analysis this evening. I am on fence as wanted more fragrance but none of the makeup or hair are appeals. Maybe I should just buy a fragrance one and keep my Beauty Drop for edits.

OvaHere · 02/07/2025 19:04

@MrsBnow12 I keep hopping on and off the fence. I also like that's there's more fragrance. I know I like Vanilla Powder and I think I will like the Grenado but the others I'm not sure about. I clicked all @BakeOffRewatch links to look at the scent profiles. Thanks for those BakeOff.

I've been trying to put my finger on what feels a little lacking (based on my preferences) and I think it might be that there isn't a good sized moisturiser in it. There's a couple of overnight mask type products but the only moisturiser is the 10ml of MZ Skin. I think I would have liked to see a 30/50ml jar of day cream rather than 2 night masks.

I subscribed to the beauty drop with the purpose of using it to get the advent calender and now I don't want it 😅 now have to decide what I want to use the credit on

Last year they released some nice kits in December. I really liked them but the AC was my one big festive spend. 2024 December had 3 kits, the Men’s was £75 value £255 www.libertylondon.com/uk/mens-beauty-kit-R609670006.html , the Glam was £95 value £365 https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/glam-beauty-kit-000825874.html and the Sleep was £80 value £279 https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/sleep-beauty-kit-000825873.html . So £250, or £220 if you had Liberty Beauty Drop membership, for £899 value 19 (out of 22) full size products. And get three pretty bags.

I like the brands Liberty, Space NK and Cult Beauty. So those are the three I’ll look at. They’re at the level where I might repurchase, whereas Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Fortnums, Selfridges have brands at a price point I’d never buy. I’d like to get a food one this year. Someone last year had a cheese one which looked amazing.

I feel exactly the same. If I’d never had a nice calendar before then I would probably think it was great, but it just seems a bit underwhelming for me. I really hope Harvey Nicks do a fragrance calendar again this year - I think that was my favourite last year. But the Flannels fragrance cracker has been good for the last couple of years. I would love a 24 day mixed fragrance calendar.

I’m waiting till next month as otherwise I’m losing the £25 discount to add £20 credit! But then I’m done.

I can’t see any cut off date for the £25 off. From the T&Cs it’s one discount per beauty drop subscription per year, not just for pre-orders.

Ah, OK. That’s good. In that case I’ll hang fire to September.

I’m absolutely the same 😟

TragicMuse · 02/07/2025 21:34

Same for me then! If I push to October for purchase I can spank all my BD on it!!

narniabusiness · 02/07/2025 21:43

I was doing the beauty drop to save for this calendar. I wish I hadn’t looked at the contents and kept it as a surprise but it looks good to me so I’ve bought it.
Now I need to resist buying any more. ( I’m totally up for M&S or Holland and Barett)

The perfume shop did an amazing one last year 24 days for £80 or something. Mainly 5ml dab on of the designer frags like alien, rabanne etc so not one if you're more into niche but the quantity for the price can't be beaten.

TheChosenTwo · 02/07/2025 22:52

Liberty is a total easy swerve for me, way too much fragrance and I usually hate the ones in the BD boxes and pass them on, I find all their choices very heady and not to my liking. Would have been okay if there were maybe 3 but not a third (or if not a full third then certainly a lot more than I’m happy to let slide!).
To be honest the last few years I’ve been really happy with Space NK but not sold on getting one this year as I have plenty of things to use up and don’t like having too much ‘stuff’ half opened or just sitting being unused.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/07/2025 00:00

Thanks @BakeOffRewatch for the breakdown of the Liberty Advent.

This year there's only 3 DODS in it for me but I can pass/sell them on.

I'm glad that there's more make up this time but that's because I'm lucky that it will all probably suit me.
And 8 perfumes - I'm in heaven
Love AB stuff so the eye cream is a hit too.
The La Mer lip balm, the Verden Magnesium Night balm, the Mirror Water body oil, the Zelens overnight mask & the Votary serum are also other products I'm interested in trying.

I wish Liberty had included a bath or shower product this year.

From last year one of my favourites is one that I thought I'd sell/pass on & that's the OTO sleep spray.
It really works & is better than the This Works Sleep spray (pardon the pun)
Also love the fragrances Fleur Narcotique & The Other Room.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 03/07/2025 00:02

HolidayHattie · 24/06/2025 10:21

I've only got into perfumes this year so will be interested in any scent ones.

I'm loving the HN perfume one I got last year. I'd definitely recommend a perfume one.

ElizabethG81 · 03/07/2025 20:05

Does anyone have any items from last year’s calendars that you’re hoping come up again? Something that would persuade you to go for that particular calendar? I’m hoping for the K18 mask again and the Dr Sebagh serum that Liberty had last year.

OvaHere · 03/07/2025 20:13

@ElizabethG81 I know people moan about it but I'd like AB The Rich Cream. Which probably means there won't be any this year. 😂

BurningTheToast · 03/07/2025 20:16

I have the empty box from a couple of years ago. If anyone would like it to refill for someone I'm happy to send it for the cost of postage. As someone said, it's too nice to recycle.

Isabelle70 · 03/07/2025 20:32

Thank you for the details @BakeOffRewatch I had decided to skip Liberty this year and don’t feel I am missing out with the products listed.
Finger crossed for a good Harrods or Selfridges.
Was it possible last year to order the Harrods Fragrance and Beauty calendars at the same time?

Following on from this, what would be people's ideal calendar?

I would love K-beauty but with no makeup. I would like a full body treatment so a small amount of hair, maybe just a shampoo/conditioner, then a full face routine and various body bits, with soap rather than shower gel.

I had H&B and Grüum last year so really a K-beauty version of either of those would work as I really liked them both although the Grüum was a bit repetitive in terms of packaging.

I still have loads of perfume from the HN calendar so maybe one or two perfumes.

Main thing is no makeup.

ElizabethG81 · 03/07/2025 23:24

I prefer skincare over make up, so lots of serums and lovely moisturisers that I wouldn’t have tried or knew existed otherwise. This has reminded me to look out for the French Pharmacy calendar as it looked lovely last year.

OvaHere · 03/07/2025 23:59

I wouldn't mind a K Beauty one but they seem hard to get as they get released in drops that aren't very conducive to our time zone and get snapped up in minutes.

Although a lot of UK stores have really jumped on the K beauty wagon this year so I wouldn't be surprised to see Korean skincare featuring in some of our advent calendars. Boots has really expanded their range and did a Korean edit box earlier in the year so I wouldn't be that surprised if they did a dedicated advent calendar as they usually have a few different calendars for sale.

I like a bit of make up but prefer skincare and scent. A lipstick or gloss is nice, mascara and maybe an eyeshadow quad or a highlighter. I don't want black eyeliner.

A bit of body care and hair care is fine but if there's a shampoo I want a matching conditioner. It's a must.

With skincare I like a range of products that could feasibly constitute a routine - so a cleansing product, toning product, serum and moisturiser. Ideally those would be amongst the full size products in the calendar, not just 10 or 15ml.

If it's one of the £250+ calendars I don't want hair bobbles/clips, hair brushes, face cloths etc. I'm okay with one nice candle.

Now I sound picky but you did ask @OchonAgusOchonOh 😁

Discerning, not picky @OvaHere

And yes, I like a nice candle too. The room spray in the Gruum calendar was fabulous, I will actually rp.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 04/07/2025 01:42

A candle - that's the only other thing missing from the Liberty advent.

EachandEveryone · 04/07/2025 01:57

I honestly can’t find a moisturiser for my face! Was there one in the Liberty advebt? I’m loving the AB serum and might buy the full size but I need a moisturiser just a basic one to go with it.
