Looking for something else yesterday, I found that I had a sample of this already, so it's my SOTD. I'm not sure about it. Weirdly, neroli isn't listed in the ingredients on Fragrantica. It's quite sharp and slightly herbal (probably the lavender). The lemon verbena is coming through now, which I like, but the overall blend, I'm not so keen on.

Certainly not a patch on the Tom Ford. Oh god, I'm going to have to shell out for the Tom Ford, aren't I?

Eau de soleil blanc again!

Any goldfield and banks fans, selfridges currently doing a beauty box with 10ml sunset hour plus loads of other goodies, £65.

I like the sound of that. Yesterday I accidentally mixed MFK A la Rose with Zara Ebony Wood and it was surprisingly delicious.

I've got the Goldfield and Banks Discovery Set but haven't tried them yet. The only one I've tried is Mystic Bliss which came in a different edit. I liked that, although didn't think it lived up to the name; nothing mystic about it.

Miller Harris Peau Santal today. It’s woody and aromatic, smells like a softer version of Santal 33. If you like Santal 33, Papyrus Moleculaire or Parisian Miss, I think you’ll enjoy this.

Replica afternoon delight. Smells sweet and yummy like a cake. I can't stop sniffing my hand!

Today is a sample of bal d’afrique which I wasn’t sure of at first as it felt soapy to me somehow but it settled down nicely but I felt it faded quickly. But then husband randomly told me I smelt amazing hours after, which he never does!! So hmm..

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Mimosa.

Found some crivelli ambre chromatique which I adore, think this is my favourite crivelli, forgot it's the extrait and spritzed away like it's MM Replica - I'll be smelling of this for days now - important work stuff tomorrow so I'll have to scrub it off before then. Meanwhile I do love the scent and seeing as I get noseblind to everything else I'm gonna enjoy it while I can!

Neroli Nasimba by Crivelli. Right now I'm not keen on it as the leather is too dominant and totally unsuited to a summer's day. I'll have to revisit it in autumn or once the evenings are darker.

That's the end of my neroli voyage of discovery. I didn't really find any loves so I might just have to buy the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino.

What shall I move on to next? Another scent note? A particular Discovery Set (e.g. I previously worked my way through Floral Street, one of the Saltworks, Penhaligon's and Sana Jardin)? Perhaps Kayali, as i suspect they're mostly summery. Or just randomly go through some of the stuff from the various fragrance edits I've got? Watch this space!

Cult beauty are doing a scent kit for £25 if you fancy experimenting comes with decent size kayali pistachio molecule 01 ginger and a fugazzi. Then about 5 other tiny samples. It's called the spritz and go kit, it was on sale earlier in the year but has come back in stock.

It's already at the Post Office waiting for me to collect it! I thought it looked like good value. Think there was a discount code which reduced it to £20 or so.

I blame you for my complete addiction to all these samples and discovery sets. I started off just looking for one or two new scents to try and now I have hundreds.

I bought this one. Code CBWELCOME15 brings it down further. I tried the Molecule 1 Ginger today. Probably not a favourite but it's okay, it has that slight 'eau de kitchen spray' that is popular in some fragrances and skincare. That may just be me though!

Based on bottle sniff alone I like the Fugazzi one and really like Replica Under the Stars - unfortunately that one is a tiny sample.

Great value for about £20 though.

The scent kit looks great! Diptyque doson today, a lovely summery tuberose.

Bvlgari White Tea today.

I didn’t like the nasimba at first but I really enjoy it now. I’m not a big neroli fan.

Suggestions: pick another flower ( rose? Violet) or sandalwood?

SOTD M & S Warmth, a santal 33 rip off. I like it, doesn’t last long but you get whiffs through the day.

I've made a start on the Kayali discovery set with Lovefest Burning Cherry today. I like it. 1.5ml samples are just too small, though. I've used half of it and only sprayed it on one wrist.

Zara Cherry Smoothie on the other arm. The Kayali is much more interesting.

4160T Sexiest Scent today. The husband noticed it yesterday so I thought I'd wear it again today!

Thé Noir today, an aromatic, woody black tea scent. I’m not a big rose fan but it’s done so well here.

I love this too and I’m sad I need to buy a larger size as it’s so expensive :( but I dont believe it has rose in it, though?

@paristotokyo you’re right! Rose isn’t listed as a note but I heard Steve from Lucky Scent say he can smell a definite rose note and now I can’t unsmell it!
