Valentino Born in Roma Extraordinaire today. It's okay, very sweet, wouldn't buy. Trying to use up some of these 2ml samples I have hanging about.

Tried Jazz Club from the Maison Margiela winter set. It's lovely, like a lighter more friendly version of tobacco vanille which I also love. Quite photorealistic smoky scent but not overpoweringly so - gives way to quite a sweet vanilla. I tried this last year and didn't rate it but my nose must have changed with time and exposure to lots of different scents as I quite like it now.

Went to a mall with a le labo store and doused myself in eucalyptus 20. I loooooove it still. It’s a perfect fragrance for the weather we have. Husband saw me gazing at it lovingly and has offered to buy it as a birthday present. But it’s just so expensive. I know the mini is in one of the advent calendars this year so will see if I can pick it up cheaper on vinted. I have a family member visiting me next year here so I’ll see if I can get them to collect it for me and bring it with them 🤞🏼

Vanilla Planifolia by Chloe today - it's a floral vanilla, i wore it a lot in the summer and still like it. Quite office friendly (I hope)

Guerlain Pamplelune today. A sharp hit of grapefruit to get me through seven hours of teaching.

Carolina Herrera Mystery Tobacco this evening - this reminds me of turmeric latte somehow - sweet, smoky. Its the first time I've strayed from the stilettoes - well apart from vip 212 rose which smelt like flat pink cava, and not in a good way, but this one is lovely. I can see it scratching my 'autumn gourmand' itch. Not that it's really gourmand, not many people eat tobacco. But it's rich, sweet and smoky - so ticking the autumn box

Commodity Book for me today, from one of the CB edits. I liked it at first spray but it’s disappeared.

I've ordered the Perfume Shop AC. Contents weren’t that clear unless I looked in the wrong place, but from pics I think there’s enough I like and I’ll use some as stocking fillers. Box looks useful too.

I did too, and will have to have it delivered to UK and collected there as they don't have it in Ireland. Disappointing as they do have a retail stores here

Thanks @MiaN I love La Bomba and the Good Girl range so it’s worth it for those alone for me.

I am still not certain I will get Look Fantastic, so at least that's one. I don't want Harvey Nichols this year, there is not much for me and at that price range I expect at least one or two at least 30ml and the biggest one in it is 15 ml.

In general, I am bit ... luke warm for niche perfumes without being sold in a shops so I could try them, and oud. And little bit more loving designer scents again this year.

I'm getting more into designer, I went a but snobby last year if im honest and thought designer somehow wasn't as good but im now of the mind that if it smells nice, who cares. Often designer is less of a risk. Had some beautiful ones recently inc carolina herrera, prada paradoxe and mugler alien.

Also getting into the mini dab bottles, after having everyone say 'what's that smell' after spritzing some ex nihilo I've decided dab on is safer. Plus I can line up a few mini bottles around my pen pot and they look nice.

SOTD is penhaligon's blenheim bouquet. It's ok, I had 5ml form advent and wouldn't repurchase. Just finished the last drop - it's nice after shower.

Paradoxe radical essence. I shouldn't like this one as much as I do. It's quite a heavy, cloying scent. My daughter said 'urrgh' when I put some on my hand and under her nose. But somehow I really do like it - there's something very moreish about it. Maybe the pistachio notes. Not one I'd wear in the office, it's more a bed time scent. Have thought about getting a (small) full bottle, although I don't need any more fbs of anything.

My Perfume Shop AC arrived. I’m not keeping it for advent as I’m splitting it up between what I want and for stocking fillers for my 2 DS and Dnieces. Happy with it and love the box, nice and sturdy.

It looks really nice. I think if I hadn't bought LF I would have got this but I'm not allowing myself anymore fragrance advents (unless SNK do something spectacular). I also don't really like dabbers but I do appreciate this one comes with an atomiser.

I'm wearing this again today. Maybe the 2nd or 3rd try. I have a 2ml sample which now has maybe one or two wears left in it. Agree it's a heavy type scent but I do quite like it. I get a Lilly note mixed with the sweetness. I like the original Paradoxe, I got a small bottle of that last xmas so I don't think I'd buy this one but the sample has been nice.

It reminds me a lot of a discontinued Prada Candy one my DD loved about 10 years ago. I swear it's a close dupe if not the same because she went through several bottles and I have a sort of scent memory of it. I may buy this one for her at xmas or her birthday.

Wow, that was quick! My perfume shop its on the way, with stop in north Ireland before coming to me so it maybe few weeks. Looking forward to it

4160T Burnt Cedar Rainbow Doves today. I love the sugared almonds note in this, it gives gourmand vibes without being too heavy.

I’m delighted with the box, so useful and I’ve already repurposed it for make up. We are going away next week so I’ll be taking a couple of the men’s frag with us.

If you like it but can't stretch to a fb, there are sellers with the 7ml dab on on ebay, which is where I got mine from.

Finishing the last of the alto astral sample today. Its nice but I get sick of it quite quickly so won't be repurchasing.

Arrived home to the true nature of my addiction laid bare! Samples of tobacco vanille and phlur cherry stem, and a huge box of perfume shop AC. Too tired to open them after a bad night's sleep and full on day, so I will wait until I feel ready to and enjoy the unboxing. The actual box the perfume shop one comes in is great too.
