CH very good girl elixir today. Another cherry one. Definitely my fave note right now- and seems about right for the time of year.

Taking a break from buying any more addy cals - think I'm fed up of the beauty ones, the fenwick is the only one which holds any interest for me now although I'm sure I'll check out the space nk frag one which they have been very quiet about thus far.

I got the cult beauty one and honestly was only interested in about 1/3 of the contents, and no frag (think those were in the limited edition one which sold out) so whilst that's good for making money back, I think I have enough lip gloss/serum/mascara now to last a life time.
Of course in another month I may have changed my mind completely!

I keep looking at the Flannels frag box but it’s just not adding up for me unless they reduce it, which I think they did last year? I’ve had the cracker the last couple of years but it’s far too samey. I really want the Kilian though.

That’s the one @IDontHateRainbows P&P is steep too. If it had something else rather than Moncler I’d be tempted as I do like the Versace and JHAG. Creed I can gift. This is why I’m undecided! 😁

Managed to sell the valaya on ebay very quickly, possibly I should have asked for more but as it was a 'sell to buy another ' to enable me to get the cherry black opium i just wanted enough to cover that.

Vilhelm sparkling jo tonight. This is the one that smells like champagne! I do quite like it. Light, effervescent and with a touch of ginger.

Yes, the £7 delivery charge put me off. Its Mike whatsizface who runs House of Fraser so im not surprised as that seems to be the business model, cheap prices and expensive p and p. Probably as they know when people send things back they don't have to refund p and p.

I still might go for it. I don’t think I’ve seen Apple Brandy On The Rocks in other boxes or AC so it might be hard to get or pricy on the resale sites. I can gift or sell on what I wouldn’t want to keep.

Gris charnel on my other hand tonight. Forgot how much I love this. Its better than the extrait. Perfect autumn/ winter scent.

Its a working from home day today so I intend to be testing a few different ones.

First up, ambre chromatique by Crivelli. This is the one that made me love Amber. Very strong so not one to wear in public lightly. Balsamic and vanilla in there but a very strong amber that dominates. Even my nose blind nose can continually smell it. Definitely not going anywhere near the office.

I’ve gone for something summery today as the weather is good. Molecule 01+mandarin. I like most of the + versions apart from the black tea

Lost cherry for me today. I can still smell it 5 hours later so it's not that weak

Ooh I do love that one, it's on my wish list but a teensy bit too expensive to get even from sample services.

I've got some mumbai noise on today - my first love when I started getting into perfumes a year ago. Its definitely an autumn scent as it just doesn't feel the same in warmer weather. Smoky spicy oud heavy but with some sweetness. Love it!

Mojave Ghost today. I seem to go for this a lot when I have in person meetings and days when I'm not sure what type of scent I want. It seems to be a staple. A bit niche and unusual but still inoffensive to others (I think).

Yesterday I wore a Diptyque Fleur de Peau sample I have. I'd describe it as floral and a bit powdery. Second time I've worn it, it's a bit of a grower. Not sure I'd buy it but I like it.

BDK rouge smoking extrait. Oh how i love this , the perfect deep cherry. I don't love the price tag at £250. Think I will put the set of extraits on my christmas list.

I succumbed and got the afnan cherry. It was £38 for a huge bottle compared to ££££for TF.

Not keeping the opium red, from the sample its very generic and barely any cherry.

Managed to shift the valaya easily plus some others from the harrods and selfridges frag kits so they are selling if you are competitive on price. I'm not bothered about making loads, just covering costs and putting the money in my 'frag fund'.

God im such an addict but Id actually recommend this as a benign cross addiction for those with addictive personalities, far better than substances/ booze/ food but still scratches the itch to get a fix of something.

Trying a sample of JHAG Ego Stratis today. Just another aquatic cologne really, slightly sweeter than some. Not fussed, I have plenty of other, nicer, citruses.

Look fantastic still have not cancelled, just sending some emails that they know they are late and will continue to work to have the order dispatched. Lets see.

Kayali Pistachio today - this was a great love of mine a couple of years ago but now seems a bit artificial and cloying but still nice enough now and then. I used to be a massive Kayali fan but gone off it a bit as my palate has evolved.

Finally got the winter clothes wardrobe down from the attic, which had a set of 3 x 10ml Maison Margiela winter scents I'd squirrelled away in there - by the fireplace, jazz club and autumn vibes. Will probably put fireplace on a bit later but not now, it's a bit strong and I'm going shopping with my daughter.

Floral Street Arizona Bloom today. On me it’s a dry, woody coconut with a bit of fig leaf thrown in. There’s supposed to be jasmine there, but I can’t smell it. It’s brightening up a dull autumn day. Nice.

Reading Fragrantica, I now know why I'm not keen on this one. The peach/blueberry note is one I never get on with - what is that, is it Ambroxan? I like the men's Cool Water so I don't think it's Calone.

Anyway, good thing it was a free sample!

I like Arizona boom, to my nose it smells like warm salty skin - just like if you come out of sea swim on warm day. I I like it, when I am in mood for it.

The thing about cherry is that is nearly always syntenic, as far as I know. or so I have heard somewhere. And as such, every so often, even expensive brands hit me the synthetic way - slightly medicinal even. To me what makes lost cherry unique is the almond & slightly sweet slightly boozy and I don't think the dupes are good in recreating this - and as such they hit syrupy more often. Lost cherry also does but less so. The only other cherry I really enjoy is Kayali Burning cherry
