M01 + black tea layered with EA green tea. They pair really well and it extends the longevity of green tea.

Back from weekend away and on the Good Girl ( original). I've become a little obsessed with this range lately. Favorite is still the VGG elixir as it's got a lovely cherry top note but vanilla ( I think) base so the zesty cherry mellows out on the dry down.

The original GG has coffee and tonka notes. Interestingly it's the same perfumer who made tom ford lost cherry which I love and am debating whether to get a sample from a decant service. I'm trying not to buy new stuff tho. Liberty scent kit excepted as wild horses couldn't keep me from buying that and I reckon I'll make most of my money back selling half the samples plus the bag.

Bal d'afrique today from the nomade trio I got in tkmaxx. Very much like but not love enough to buy a bottle. Rare Beauty find comfort on my list to try when I get to a shop.

Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir Rose today. I got an 8ml of this in a beauty box and have used half. A nice summery fragrance but nothing standout. It's quite similar to the CH Good Girl Blush but maybe lasts a teeny bit longer. One I'm trying to empty before the summer is over.

Etat Libre D'Orange Nostos today. It's a rosey, oudy scent, quite heavy and totally not what I would have expected to have in mind today, yet I did -and I'm enjoying it. It was in the Harrods fragrance calendar last year which I got on Ebay after christmas.

In other news, my liberty scent kit is on the way! with any luck it will arrive with the beauty drop box which also contains a couple of perfumes including a favourite - vilhelm dear polly.
There's a vilhelm in the scent kit, the basilico one, but I'm not sure I'm such a fan of that one. Lots of aquatic freshies in there, including the intriguingly named Bibbi Swimming pool. I'm up for trying new things but hoping it's not too weighted towards aquatic/fresh as I like a mixture and in summer, fruity sweet fragrances are my preference

I think the Ex Nihlo Lust in Paradise will be nice, it gets good reviews. It's supposed to be similar to Delina Rose. That and the Angel Dust are the only perfumes tempting me. It's appears impossible to get a sample/travel size of LiP by any other means (I googled).

Just not sure another Rose esqe perfume is a good use of £90 for me right now even with BD vouchers, so I've held off so far. If it was a different Vilhelm that probably would have swung it. I'd really like to try Poets of Berlin. I know I don't like the Basilico one.

Of the scent edit I’m drawn to the basilico & Fellini, the bibbi scent (apparently smells similar
to Torino 21), angel dust and I wouldn’t mind the molecule 01 for layering. I’m not big on rose or neroli scents so a lot of the others aren’t of interest although I do enjoy smelling new scents, regardless of whether I’d wear them or not! Samples or in store sniffing are better for that though.

@Zoetrope1 Poets of Berlin is another one that seems hard to come by in a travel size. I found one on eBay but the price was way too high for what I'd want to pay. You can still get a 2ml on the Vilhelm site in the discovery kit so I might get that at some point. I guess the lack of them on eBay or Vinted means they've not appeared in any boxes or calendars for a long time!

@OvaHere that’s a shame. I actually got mine for free in a beauty box in Australia! I wish Vilhelm offered singular travel sizes for purchase. I’ve seen the packs of three but they’re all of the same scent.

@Zoetrope1 agree. The set of 3 all the same baffles me. I was at their Liberty counter earlier this year and wanted to buy one of those sets thinking I could choose three different ones.

Hi, I’ve been lurking, as I’ve gotten more into perfumes recently and I enjoy all your insights! Just wanted to let you know @OvaHere that I’ve got travel bottles of Poets of Berlin and Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid, and they’re practically indistinguishable.

Poets of Berlin is one I'd like to try - supposed to be reminiscent of blueberry muffins! I'm intrigued to try Vyrao sun rae. I have tried to like Vyrao in the past and never quite found one I really bonded with but I have high hopes for this one.

@IDontHateRainbows I did read that Sun Rae won an award (if that means anything) so maybe it is a good one. I've not really gelled with any I've tried so far either.

Oh that's interesting. The Floral Street will be much easier to find I expect. Thanks I will check it out.

It really annoys me that Vilhelm only sell the 10mls in sets of 3 (all the same), and won't let you mix and match to make a set. So the only chance is people selling them on from scent kits and the like.

I'd happily buy a 10ml of dear polly as I used up my last one far too quickly and it's the perfect lemon tea scent. On a ban until I've used up some others from my ever expanding stash though!

That’s interesting! Does one last longer than the other? I like Arizona Bloom from FS but find I have to top up during the day. Have tried others from that house and the longevity is disappointing.

You’re right, I think the Vilhelm does have better longevity, but Floral Street is cheaper so I’m happy to re-spray! I think the green note (bamboo?) is slightly more apparent in PoB, but they really are extremely similar. I believe they were both created by the same perfumer. There are lots of 10ml bottles of WVO available cheaply on eBay & Vinted, so it may be worth trying that one to get a good idea of whether PoB would be up your street!

Santal 33 today, the one that got me into fragrances! I don’t wear it often these days but I still love it.

SOTD on Monday was Shay & Blue Cedarwood Grapefruit. I really liked this on first spraying with the citrus underlaid with cedarwood (I didn't really pick out the coffee) but it dried down to a slight cleaning product smell which I wasn't so keen on. I think it might be better on a man.

Well now I am wearing 4 perfumes 😂

Popped into my local beauty store and tried three diptyques:

• L'eau des Hesperides: a bright, fresh bitter orange, petit grain, mandarin with green notes. I really love this one but it was an instant no for my husband. Smells like bathroom spray to him
• Orpheon - I liked the aromatic juniper berry opening but the dry down is too powdery for me. My husband’s favourite.
• Ilio - Smells like a lovely slightly sunscreeny floral to me but the notes are prickly pear, iris, jasmine and bergamot. can’t say I picked up on the pear, will have to try it again
