@HolidayHattie I think the rose is my issue with it - I want more!

Today from the CB boxes is molecule + mandarin and Jo by Jo loves. I don't think I have the nose for molecule scents ....

I really love the Jo by Jo Loves - I love the grapefruit and it's hot today so feels perfect. My partner has a very strong preference for citrus fragrances and loves this. He struggled a bit with my vanilla phase because the fragrances last so long even if I can't smell them anymore.

Unfortunately on opposite end of the scale Jo only lasts about 3 minutes. Probably would not purchase because of this. Think it's impossible to make the citrus last any longer. Might get the shower gel instead.

Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco. Again with the synthetic/chemical smell which seems like Kayali's signature note. I would kind of understand it if that ingredient made the scent long lasting, but all the Kayalis I've tried have faded fast.

Other than that, it smells like suncream. Not unpleasant, but not really what I want to smell of. I still have one more Kayali to try, but it's definitely not the house for me. Lovefest Burning Cherry is the only one that i have really liked.

Zoetrope1 · 10/07/2025 04:30

Santal complet today, a nice coconutty sandalwood. Warm and cosy but unfortunately has poor projection and longevity.

IDontHateRainbows · 10/07/2025 16:08

Green Stravaganza today. Growing on me. Definitely a summer one so maybe I just needed the weather to be right.

Deja Vu White Flower, the last of my Kayali samples. Not as nastily synthetic smelling as some of the others and it's not unpleasant, but i wouldn't go as far as to say that I like it.

OvaHere · 10/07/2025 20:33

I like that one @HolidayHattie I've got a 10ml and I find it to be one of the better ones.

paristotokyo · 11/07/2025 08:56

Spent some time in Sephora today sampling all the goodies, had a wonderful time! I sprayed so many fragrances I have no idea what’s what lol. I sampled the kayali capri in a bottle as the notes looked so appealing to me, lemony sugary goodness, and I loved it on first spritz but it’s settled into a really unpleasant plastic type of scent…

IDontHateRainbows · 11/07/2025 09:20

Juliette Vanilla Vibes today - love this beachy vanilla scent and got a really good deal from Allbeauty on a fb reduced from £100 to £40 so I'll be spritzing this a lot during these summer days.

Weird how seasonal perfume can be. My beloved mumbai noise which I sprayed a lot last winter, oud-y spicy, warm scent, I accidentally sprayed as I'd decanted some into a spare tube thinking it was something else. In this heat I HATE it and had to scrub it off. Weird!

Vilhelm Faces of Francis today. Love this scent. It reminds me of a vanilla ish marzipan.

HolidayHattie · 11/07/2025 16:04

Neroli Portofino. Think I'm alternating this and Luna, with a few test samples now and then.

Trying to decide what to take on holiday next week. Maybe the Miller Harris Discovery Set as I've only tried one of those so far and liked it. Or perhaps the Aqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo set again: I've tried them all already but they were nice enough and good for hot weather.

Zoetrope1 · 11/07/2025 22:36

@OvaHere that sounds really nice, on my list to try!

@HolidayHattie I have the Miller Harris discovery set too. My favourite so far is tea tonique.

angelandspike · 11/07/2025 23:30

Clean reserve skin today, I wanted something soft

Zoetrope1 · 12/07/2025 04:15

Chasing Scents Slow Dance, a balsamic vanilla with tea. Warm and comforting, perfect for a cold day.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/07/2025 08:46

It's got to be vanilla vibes today - as of to the seaside with my daughter, booked an impromptu overnight stay on the basis that every time I've gone away this year the weather has been awful.

CH Good girl blush today. Lightweight, fun rosy scent for a warm day.

HolidayHattie · 12/07/2025 13:57

Atkinsons Mint & Tonic. Smells like toothpaste or Listerine. Not very strong though, even on first application.

purplesproutingbroc · 12/07/2025 16:30

Gypsy water this morning. I get something lemony for about 5 minutes and then woody. Beautiful but I can't smell it on myself now at all. Added a half spritz of Zara Hypnotic Vanilla which seems to blend ok. Initially this reminded me of plasticine but now more like dried apricots and vanilla extract on my skin.

IDontHateRainbows · 12/07/2025 19:48

Green stravaganza. Definitely a grower.
If anyone is interested liberty are FINALLY doing a scent kit and reasonably priced at £100 or £90 for beauty drop members.

Sure to sell out. I've already ordered mine, f course. I live for these!

Have you tried any of the scents in that kit before? I've been wanting a scent kit for ages and now it's here I'm not sure most are my vibe. It's a good price but I'm trying not to buy things because they're there.

I already have Delina, I've tested and like Angel Dust and I think I would like Ex Nihilo based on the notes. Everything else I'm not keen on the sound of but it's so hard to tell. I can sell on what I don't like but that's a faff sometimes.

I probably have FOMO (again!)

How? It’s not going on sale until Tuesday? I haven’t received an email either.

There's a link in the Beauty Drop thread. Looks like it's not supposed to be customer facing yet but someone found it and It allows you to place an order.

Yes.can confirm order went through fine.
A few in there I'm not sure are my thing buy I will try and sell as 'sprayed once' if not. I think I'll easily make back £90 if I just keep a couple. And the bags have resale value too.

The kit looks good! I have a lot of FOMO not living in the UK anymore, there’s nothing like that here.

SOTD Xerjoff More Than Words, a fruity rose oud. Im not a big rose or oud fan but this is well blended and quite palatable.

HolidayHattie · 13/07/2025 16:19

Super Real 02 for Men - I got this in the Perfume Society summer box - it was pot luck whether you got the male or female version.

It's supposed to have pineapple, fig milk, marine notes, spices and tonka bean. My nose isn't sensitive enough to pick out the individual notes from the blend but I'm not getting any pineapple at all. Having said that, it's not unpleasant; in fact I will go as far as to say it's a like, but not a love.

Do Liberty not deliver internationally?
