What have they done to Elvive?!

I've used Elvive Colour Protect shampoo and conditioner for years and they're just right for my hair as well as being inexpensive. It's been harder to come by lately but now back in stock with different packaging. I've used the conditioner twice now and was expecting it to be the same (haven't noticed "new formula" etc on the labelling) but it smells different and has left my hair looking heavy and greasy both times. It feels like there's a silicon film in my hair and it looks awful. It's so annoying. Has anyone else found the same? I'm kind of hoping I've just got a duff bottle.

I’ve still got three each of shampoo and conditioner but I did clear the shelves of two branches of Savers when they had old formula in stock! Spent about £37, bought nothing else, must have looked a right loon 🤣

I have also been trying other brands and keeping my OG Elvive Colour as a treat. Every time I use it it proves there really is nothing as good.

I brought four bottles of shampoo and conditioner on offer, not realising the formula had changed. Couldn’t afford not to use it, but definantly had to wash my hair more frequently.

I have one bottle left of the shampoo as I too brought in bulk - I can’t wait for it to all be gone! Why do they do this?? I heard in another thread that Estée Lauder have messed with the formulation of their Doublewear foundation too! And that it’s shit too !

Yes i saw that. Bloody awful thing to do especially when you consider the price of Estee Lauder.

@JenniferBooth even worse as I use double wear so another thing ruined! I don’t want to spend so much money on it when people are saying it’s no good, I don’t have that money to waste x

Thankyou for this. I went to Aldi last week and could only find one bottle of the red shampoo, their dupe of Colour Protect so i got that and a couple of bottles of the Dream Lengths dupe. In the same section there was Hotel Collection perfumes the Jo Malone dupes I got the Poppy and Barley. Then from the middle aisle i got a bottle of Mon Amour which is a dupe of Giorgio Armani Si Passione, a lip balm which is a dupe of a Summer Fridays one and a lovely Satin set, which contains two pillowcases a headband a scrunchie and an eye mask. I dont have an Aldi locally, I went there with a friend.

Incidentally i got talking to two staff members. The male staff member was wondering why the red bottles sell so quickly so i told him what was going on re. Elvive.
Also got talking to the woman on the till and she told me her daughter has had a bad reaction to the newer Elvive. Made her scalp sore and itchy.

Have now tried both the Lidl and Aldi dupes
Lidl dupe.............made my hair really knotty like Herbal Essences does.
Aldi dupe .......doesnt feel like its cleaned my hair.
