Just wanted to report on how much I am loving my new blue raised stripe skirt. Due to a flare up of a chronic medical condition, I can’t wear many of my trousers at the moment, so it has been getting lots of wear, but I think it would have in any case. I have worn it 4 days in the last week, and it looks great with all sorts of things. It is light and swishy, and I like it more than the navy pleat skirt for this reason (that feels quite heavy to wear). Its only downside is that it is a little too long on me (5’2”), and I need to remember this when going up and down stairs.
Anyway, all that to say that I highly recommend it. I tried both colours and had a hard time choosing, and I think the green would be equally fabulous for summer.

mizu · 15/05/2025 20:03

@ScottishMouseit’s a lovely skirt, I can see how it’s so wearable especially at the moment.
I’m hoping to pop into Edinburgh TOAST in a few weeks when I drive up there to pick up DD1. Going to stay a couple of nights and really looking forward to being up there again.

I’ve been trying to wear less blue as I tend to gravitate towards denim / blue dresses. Sold a blue TOAST skirt on Vinted but then saw this and bought 😄 - lightweight and beautiful though

Oh I love that dress @mizu. That was one of the ones that got away for me.

mizu · 15/05/2025 20:07

Yes! It’s one that I couldn’t resist. Unbelievably comfortable, I’m already planning on wearing most of next week to work!

faustina · 15/05/2025 20:12

@mizu - oh I love that dress - it passed me by too. Enjoy your blues - I'm the same, especially shirts and jackets. I guess if a colour works for you then that's a Good Thing!

@ScottishMouse - I hope you feel better soon - off to look up your lovely skirt

ScottishMouse · 15/05/2025 20:26

Thanks @faustina. The joy of autoimmune disease.

Did anyone else watch the Toast live today. First of all it wasn't live it was recorded and I really missed the Toast employees modelling and commenting. I wasn't too keen on any of it to be honest. The proportions looked wrong and the men's trousers all looked ridiculously overlong!
Maybe I'm being churlish and miserable because I've got covid but I'm missing the old Toast more and more 😔

@ScottishMouse get well soon 💐

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 16/05/2025 13:22

@PrincessofWells not just you I thought it was rubbish and mostly put me off the clothes.

Stoic123 · 16/05/2025 14:16

Love that dress @mizu - I have it and wearing it makes me feel elegant. Jenny Garcia wore it on a Toast live once which inspired me to buy. I liked her lives - 2nd only to Nikki.

Unfortunately not inspired by anything on today's live - and not by anything when I've browsed online or visited a shop. My last purchase from Toast was in the March sale and the only thing I'm after is something I just missed out on then and am hoping will return in June sale.

Still picking up odd Vinted bargain (£22 nearly new Gabis in April).

TosstTastic · 16/05/2025 14:24

I really liked the energy and humour Leanne brought to it.
Yes, we all know you can dress stuff up and down and she used the clichés lightly.
I liked the big check stuff, I could wear that. The bags were nice. Nothing stand out in a wedding/Chelsea flower/evening at an arts venue but it was sensible, on holiday, room key, buying a baguette kind of stuff.

The non live live seems to be unwatchable if you missed it. Tried both your link @TosstTastic and their instagram link and can’t get it. Any ideas anyone?

Countmeout · 16/05/2025 21:26

Thank @TosstTastic that worked.

IlovePond · 17/05/2025 17:01

Hope you feel better soon @PrincessofWells - I know some people with Covid atm - it really sucks 😿

I visited the Marylebone store at the weekend and having looked forward to it for a while, found it a disappointing experience. I had a list of garments I wanted to try and has checked their availability in store. The assistant did not know all the names and I gave up trying although she did fish a couple out of the drawer. There didn’t seem to be any gentle “oomph” to the experience and I left empty handed. A boutique down the road from them was having a pop up from the company “day dress” and I found a lovely frock in there with a blue provencale print. Similar cost, great service and a lovely garment.

You can’t win em all, I guess!

Get well soon all poorly ones.

Hi,

Some ‘new’ items have been added to the Reworn section.

Thanks @IlovePond . Naturally I was out again 🙄

IlovePond · 24/05/2025 13:56

There were a few things I liked @Countmeout but too overpriced imo!

Hello, has anyone bought the Folk print dress? I bought the waistcoat in a 12 and a 14 but sent them both back as I found the cut too skimpy around the arms and was worried that the dress might have a similar cut, although none of the reviews says it has.

I have ordered the Japanese jeans, hoping they live up to expectations. I also have the garment dyed linen pocket jumpsuit in black pepper which I am getting taken up as the length is very long. It has a lovely cut, very flattering with a sleeveless high neck teeshirt tank underneath.

Despite best efforts to resist, I have bought a lot of Toast this year. My top buys are undoubtedly the pleated organic cotton skirts which I bought in the green and the navy and which attract complements whenever I wear them (which is all the time).

I am reading quite a few comments on here that the new collections isn’t doing it for everyone but I am finding lots to love, not good for my bank balance :)

Are we heading for a sale - mid June or so?

mizu · 27/05/2025 16:01

@ToastCosILoveItseems 5 mins since the last sale! Wondering about another sample too as a pic popped up on my phone yesterday that was 14th June and it was me and DD1 at SM!

Nanasueathome · 27/05/2025 17:41

The tie front panelled check cotton dress that I ‘needed’ has sold out online
Toast chat located one in the Chelsea store and I’ve bought it
I don’t usually pay full price if I can help it but I’m so pleased that I did
It really is beautiful
So pleased

Nanasueathome · 27/05/2025 17:42

i bought in the June sale last year…20th June

Countmeout · 27/05/2025 20:13

18th June was a sale purchase for me.
