Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond love the dibber reference 😁

faustina · 07/02/2025 20:03

Thank you @IlovePond - the end of a long thread is always very slow and annoying so it's lovely to have a shiny new one!

ToastCosILoveIt · 07/02/2025 20:04

Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond . Checking in and marking my place. The kindred gift really appeals to me, I wonder if there is anything I can persuade myself I want from the site in order to qualify 😊

Stravaig · 07/02/2025 20:07

I still have the unnecessary glasses in my basket🙀I don’t like ordering clothes when there’s a Kindred gift, as I never know what to do if I want to return the order. (Basically, if it’s homeware I will definitely keep it unless it’s faulty.)

I have spent lots of money on completely unnecessary stuff recently, so mustn’t spend more just for the sake of it.

In my defence, I have been eyeing up those Moroccan glasses in my basket with the Bolivian ones), for a long time - but they are just so fragile. DH, (aka The Smasher), seems to break things just by looking at them!

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond . Love the title.

An update on my parcel- no Kindred gift but I did have a nice postcard in giving me all the addresses of the shops. In the box (it was a box and not a paper bag) was the pleated organic skirt in navy - not sure, it is very long on me. I am 5ft 3. Just above ankle length and the elastic waistband is 'strong'. It might give me indigestion by lunch. I will try again in daylight. The other items was the patch pocket Needlecord shirt in French blue which I think I will keep- looks a bit smock-like but good with jeans and narrower bottom half!

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond

Was excited about the new Kindred gift but not keen on random household stuff.

I just sent the clown pictures back in my next return last time! 😂

PeonyBlush10 · 07/02/2025 21:09

The mens cotton waxed raincoat in rye is beautiful (to me). I tried it on in the shop and sized down (from M to S) and it is still
a little oversize which is the style of the coat. Gorgeous cocoa brown. I’ve been looking for a raincoat for a couple of years and this is the one. Casual but also can be smart.

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond Wink

Thank you for the new dibber and breadboard thread @IlovePond

@PeonyBlush10 that’s a lovely coat in a beautiful rye brown, thanks for sharing, I hadn’t spotted it.

PrincessofWells · 07/02/2025 23:39

I confess, I visited the Toast store whilst in York and tried on the barrel jeans at £225 . . . I bought them, such a great shape.

I also visited the Moon fabrics store two doors along. Toast have done some collaborations with them, and I think I had a lovely jacket in one of their fabrics, one of my first Toast purchases, sadly now gone due to multiple holes. Anyway, some beautiful throws, bags and tempting fabric remnants which I now regret not buying. Here's an interior shot of part of their store.

I’m very happy with the coat. It looks much more crumpled in the photos/video on the website. Mine is quite smooth with a little bit of character. Maybe it crumples with wear.

Thank you @IlovePond .

AFingerofFudge · 08/02/2025 09:08

Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond
There's a chance I might get to a Toast shop today and if so I shall be trying on the new Bryn indigo dress and the hemp cotton canvas dungarees.

IlovePond · 08/02/2025 09:08

@PrincessofWells - I had some beautiful Moon pinafores, skirts and jackets from a collaboration with Boden years ago - lovely quality, (and nothing like JB produces nowadays!) Sadly I couldn’t fit an arm or a leg into them nowadays 😿

I wish I had seen that shop when I was in York - thanks for the pictures.

@PeonyBlush10 oh it's lovely. I have an old London Fog men's trench in this colour, maybe a tad more olive, and I love it despite it being too big for me.

VivienneDelacroix · 08/02/2025 12:03

Thank you for the new thread. I'm on a no-buy year, so I've not been in much, to avoid temptation. However, thinking maybe my husband would like to buy me something for Valentine's day!

Stravaig · 08/02/2025 12:29

@VivienneDelacroix 😍 Oh that's a canny shimmy and wiggle! 😆
