Yup, that is quite bonkers @Snowyowl78. I can’t help but think recently that Toast are slightly losing their way (or maybe it is just me falling out of love). There is nothing at all in the new drop that takes my fancy, and that is pretty unusual. I ordered but kept nothing from the recent sale. I bought just one thing in the January sale. I have made a couple of Toast vinted purchases recently, of items from a few years ago, that I am much more excited about. 🤷‍♀️

Good grief @Snowyowl78 - it’s a bit ‘much’, isn’t it! (Trying and failing to imagine my DH in it, or indeed anyone I have ever met irl 😹)

It’s the sort of thing that you might put a toddler in, if it was a pattern on a pair of kiddie dungarees or a pinafore.

@ScottishMouse sorry to hear that - I still like some of the new stuff but it’s annoying me that they are bringing stuff in, putting it on sale, and then portraying it as ‘new’ in another drop when it’s clearly the same! For example that chambray shirt and also the neat slate and ecru jackets.
however, I’ve still got high hopes for the Navy knitted dress that I’m waiting on and also the anthracite waist coat. I like the new waistcoat but it’s crazy expensive so I definitely won’t get it.

That is indeed annoying and seems kind of wrong @Snowyowl78.
For me, it seems like the collections are quite random in the last wee while, where they used to seem more cohesive and easier to mix and match from, now the colour palate is more varied and takes more work to put pieces together. It could just be me though, I am a little afraid of colour and over the years my wardrobe has become more and more whites/ecrus/greys/navys/blacks with just a pop here and there of anything more interesting.
I did try the anthracite waistcoat recently and liked it a lot, but I know from experience that I wouldn’t wear it enough, so I left it behind.

@ScottishMouse - I agree - some of the collections were a bit ‘odd’, (the circus one, for example), but they were cohesive. Now it just seems like a few random items dropping all the time to no purpose.

Yup, exactly this @IlovePond. I saw that Sideline had launched their new collection this morning and although obviously much smaller than a full season Toast collection, it seems much more cohesive. @ScottishMouse ive been staring at that exact skirt today. Sadly the large is sold out! Beware their sizing is small, but lots of lovely stuff.

Thanks for the sizing tip @Snowyowl78. I’m wondering if M would be ok for a 12 (sometimes 10 on bottom half), what do you think? I wish they would give measurements.

@ScottishMouse - I was looking at the matching shirt this morning! I only bought one pair of trousers from them and it was quite big - it had an elasticated waist like that. It was an XS. I think people buy everything and then there are quite a few returns soon after so it is worth maybe emailing them in the meantime for measurements?

Nothing for me in the new drop. I did buy quite a few pieces from the last drop, including the anthracite waistcoat, and I'm pleased with those. I would have liked to see some more homeware as well.

@Snowyowl78 the Washi skirt, Washi green tee, and the Stripe collared tee. I also tried the Quilted wrap vest but I couldn’t make it work for me.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I love your choices, the skirt is fabulous and looks really contemporary.

I understand the diffidence some have expressed about the recent drop , I think to some extent it’s natural to be more difficult to please when one has a wardrobe already full of Toast and hope you’ll find something to rekindle interest
On reflection I’ve decided that I really like the fact Toast is pushing unusual shapes , I like the freshness and after all the reason I’m here is that the quirkiness is the thing I love .

I picked up a great bargain from Reworn ( which I’ve vilified on several occasions and will never contribute to)
I got a current Season Chambray shirt , the bell shaped longish one that I had my eye on already , for £45 instead of £145!
It was listed as having wear but looks fine. It’s a very small size so isn’t really oversized which I like.

@OftenOrangei keep forgetting about Reworn which I actually quite like (got an as new king sized striped fitted sheet for £27 around Christmas) as they don’t send emails about it so whenever I see this thread and am reminded, there’s never much there.

The colours are so unexciting .

I have £165 to spend from my sale refund but there is nothing I want .
Will there be a high summer drop?

Ha ha @Poplinskirt, I meant that there were not enough neutrals for my liking 😆 I suspect there will be a high summer drop beginning of June, this one is quite small. I seem to remember a conversation in store where they said that last year they had gone to a drop every two months but that wasn’t popular, so they are now doing a drop every month but one month it is mainly men’s with a small amount of women’s and the next vice versa.
