Here’s a new thread!

@AmethystMoonShine - great minds think alike (or fools seldom differ 😂). I have one of the pinch pots in the kitchen for my vitamins/supplements each day and the other two are on my bedside table for rings etc. They make me happy!

I am a long time lurker wondering whether anyone has this quilted jacket and if so whether you have tumble dried it? Mine is too big, and I’d quite like to shrink it a bit in the dryer but I’m worried about whether it will crinkle up or give me uneven patches of padding. Any ideas gratefully received!

I really wouldn't. Can you take it to your local tailor for alterations?

Irisgris · 31/03/2025 12:12

That’s the other alternative! I was worried it might be a big job, although there is a centre back seam so it might be enough just to take it in there a couple of inches on each side, I’m not sure…

PrincessofWells · 31/03/2025 18:14

Re the October sample sale, I arrived at 11 on the first day and got quite a haul. There were a lot of people there buying a lot though (guilty).

IlovePond · 01/04/2025 10:26

@PrincessofWells - glad you did well. I unfortunately didn’t get there until 1pm and there were only a couple of sad looking rails left in the women’s section.

In previous sales, there have been loads of rails all crammed with stock, with not much of a decrease over the weekend. I am very much hoping this April’s sale is well stocked too. I am planning to be there on opening, this time, which will be a first!

I ordered something yesterday, and I've just seen on my despatch note that there's the ordered item plus a 'book'. Does anyone know anything about the book? I hope it's not what I would call a catalogue!

Gonegrey31 · 01/04/2025 16:27

I’ve got that on my despatch note too . I do think it is just a catalogue ( of menswear ). When I’ve been sent a Kindred gift in the past the despatch note says that .
i have ordered the cream denim skirt and saffron coloured waistcoat thingy . Can’t remember the proper description!

weareallcats · 01/04/2025 18:24

I’ve done really well recently! I’ve kept pretty much everything I’ve ordered - sent one skirt back as it was too small but used the chat to ask if they have the next size up (sale item) and they did (brilliant tip re chat from this thread).

Favourite items are the green pleated skirt, the kite jumper, the culottes and the work wear denim jacket - I’ve also bought t shirts, the red fig jumper and the ikat pants. And the orange cardigan (least favourite thing - it’s a bit itchy - but goes with so much so have kept).

I’m very tempted to preorder the Japanese jeans, but they are so expensive.

weareallcats · 01/04/2025 18:26

Oh! And I got two pairs of the Vibae mules - the fisherman sandals and the green suede - they are beautiful and comfortable and much nicer (imo) than my Birkenstock bostons. Very pleased with them, very much recommend.

I love the look of that waistcoat thingy but I have a nightie in the same colour that makes me look quite dead, so I’ve left it. There is a skirt in what looks like the same colour/fabric that I’m tempted for though - thinking it might be ok if it’s not by my face!

PrincessofWells · 01/04/2025 19:06

@weareallcats the Japanese denim jeans are fabulous, so comfy and oddly quite stylish 😎

Thank you - did you find the sizing? I am super pear shaped, so jeans can be a struggle.

PrincessofWells · 01/04/2025 20:05

They are oversized - I'm normally a 14 and bought a 12, perfect fit on the waist for me, (I'm small waisted) they are very generous through the hip and thigh, hit on the ankle (5ft 6in).

Thank you - same height and dress size as me!

Just had a Toast delivery , the book is indeed the catalogue . Beautifully presented and photographed as always , and it shows a little taste of women’s’ High Summer pieces . I’m not terribly interested in reading about kites but if you are you’ll love it.

As for me it was love at first try for the Flower Mountains , in fact I’ve elevated my day by wearing them straight from the box. Highly recommend despite £££
I’ve lived in my navy and olive pair , now a year old and look as new.

IlovePond · 02/04/2025 14:20

@OftenOrange - they are very nice! I struggle with footwear currently following my recent long-lasting bout of PF. What are your thoughts on the arch support?

Thanks

OP posts:
OftenOrange · 02/04/2025 14:53

@IlovePond I find the arch support to be perfect , they’re the most comfortable shoes ever for me. I usually stick to boots or sandals , but of course once one finds the perfect trainers it’s hard not to love !

btw they aren’t as white as the photo, more a light putty colour

faustina · 02/04/2025 14:56

@OftenOrange - I have my eye on those lovely flower mountains too. What is the sizing like?

OftenOrange · 02/04/2025 15:01

@faustina I’d say true to size. I’ve narrow feet and thought they’d be like boats on me but I find the lacing deals with that.
DH says they make my feet look big but I’m ok with that !

Snowyowl78 · 02/04/2025 16:23

There is some new stuff online and this shirt is exactly the same as last years

I do however welcome the white version as I really like the blue one.

There is also 2 new vests for £125 each !!

ScottishMouse · 02/04/2025 16:44

@Snowyowl78 that does look exactly like last year’s shirt! I loved that shirt last year but it didn’t look good on me. I love the white even more. I will definitely try it in case the sizing/cut is even a little different.

Snowyowl78 · 02/04/2025 16:52

@ScottishMouse i checked back to my emails, and the pics are identical! Though they are calling this one light blue, and last years was chambray. I bought it in a small and the arms kept getting stuck on my upper arms every time I moved so I also bought one in a medium from Vinted. It does get very creased but I still love it for its lightness, ideal for work when it’s really hot so I am definitely going to try the white too.

ScottishMouse · 02/04/2025 17:03

Yes, I seem to remember the arms were a problem for me too @Snowyowl78.
I’m not mad about anything else new that I can see really. The colours are not for me. Although that said, I like the off-white and off-black of this year’s crinkle top better than last year’s colours. I never tried it because the colours were not right for me, does anyone have it and can say anything about it?

IlovePond · 02/04/2025 18:38

Thanks @OftenOrange - I think I will see if they have any to try in my size at KC. The trouble for me is that I often don’t know how I am going to get on with footwear until a while after purchase.

I have been eyeing these up for a while, but they would be an expensive mistake 🙀
