@AmethystMoonShine - I went in quite early and there was hardly any homeware, so you've not missed anything.

That’s a shame @Stoic123 as usually, at least early on in a sale there can be some lovely home pieces. I was quite shocked when I looked but assumed you’d all snapped up the good bits 😂

@Snowyowl78i have the twill dress too and love it. Mine was from Vinted though. I had it professionally taken down a couple of inches and a stitch put in the front V as it gaped a bit as I was travelling to the Middle East and wanted the modesty 😁 might take it up again but actually quite like it very long.

Currently wearing with trainers but cannot wait to wear with sandals.

I’m not very good at footwear in between seasons.

As for sale, I had a quick look at it last night, but haven’t purchased anything yet…….

I’ve ordered the navy dobby skirt, black dungarees and a brown jumper in the sale.

I recommend the green gingham Franca dress - I bought that full price, but can see it’s now in the sale - I love it.

Hi, I asked for an update today on the date for the sample sale - still no joy.

However, Toast are going to put details onto the Toast website under Events when they decide on a date. I got the impression that this would be a relatively last minute notification, so not terribly helpful if you’re not local.

Thank you @mizu and @AmethystMoonShine i read about the gaping. I have a stitch tool called Bonie which I might have to use on it!

@IlovePondthey never give much time before the sample sales, so annoying but checked and it was Easter weekend last year, you were right. And I think they announced it on the Sunday or Monday before?!

Indeed @mizu - having the sale over Easter again would make sense, but Toast either haven’t decided yet, or don’t want to say for some reason.

I don’t know what they gain by being so secretive and/or last minute!

Tempted by the mohair yoke sweater in the sale. I know I tried it when it first arrived and I can’t remember why I didn’t go for it. Some reviews suggest it’s itchy, but I don’t think that’s what put me off. I feel like the sizing was maybe not right Does anyone have it and how is it size-wise?

@ScottishMouse This is going to sound a bit bonkers, but is it worth searching your own posts to see if you told us about it at the time? 😆

What do you know @Stravaig, I did indeed post about it! I have never searched through my own posts before, my goodness we have been here a long time, you’d think we’d have run out of things to say about Toast at this point!
It seems that it wasn’t sizing that put me off but the fear of the waistband stretching out, as has happened me a few times in the past (it’s because I carry weight on my stomach, which I cannot seem to shift despite much trying). Not sure whether it is worth another try, will have another ponder.

Good idea @TosstTastic. I stopped reviewing when some negative reviews I wrote were not published. It was a long time ago, and I’m not sure if it was done on purpose or something just went wrong, but I was annoyed and gave up reviewing after that.

I think all my reviews have been published. I try to write in a 'its me not you' way. Often because it's true, that dress that can't contain my magnificent rack, will look stunning on my less blessed friend.

I find it useful when others put their size, which helps if you liked the idea but would rather go up or down if sale conditions change.

Ignoring my own advice I have just bought a full price top that's not ideal, from my very own previous review , but have failed to find anything else. I have two skirts that need a deep navy casual shirt, shouldn't be that hard you think, but nothing has turned up in my usual haunts.

It's a retry on the shirt. Suggestions welcomed for a large, magnificent woman wanting the illusion of a waist.

I have the navy garment dyed tee in soft cotton (a sale purchase), and that quite structured navy one from when Toast were doing their nautical theme. (I do miss Toast’s ‘themes’ - I don’t know why they stopped doing them!) Both are great for my larger chest.

Sale stuff arrived today. The Lyocell dress (Scarab green) is gorgeous. Much heavier material than expected and definitely keeping. The Chup wool socks are as nice as the 2 other pairs I have and also staying.

I'm in two minds about keeping the stone Babbi slippers. Nothing wrong with them - just wondering if I really need them. Going to sleep on it.

How did you get a delivery on a Sunday @Stoic123? That green dress is lovely.

I dithered too long on the mohair fairisle yoke sweater and now it is oos in my size. Probably just as well.

@ScottishMouse - often get RM parcel deliveries on a Sunday (York)- RM services here are excellent.

Wow, that’s amazing @Stoic123. I have only ever got a RM delivery on a Sunday in the week or two before Christmas.
I’ve my fingers crossed that my parcel will arrive tomorrow. I’ll report back, though likely it will be after the sale ends (I’m guessing noon).

If I hadn't liked the green dress, I would have been tempted to dive back in but there doesn't seem to be that much stock left in my size.

I wish I had a local store just to try on a few new season bits that were clearly not going to work.
Sending back the sale twill navy v neck dress, my bust to torso ratio was wrong, so wrong. I looked like a menopausal toddler.
The poplin v neck, that I ignored my very review, was still a bit too hospital scrub.
I'm saying yes to the hot water bottle cover and will order a new bottle since the house one has to be over 20 years old despite me thinking it's a new because its white, how modern. Pretty sure my mum's one predates the Falklands conflict.

Me & Em was my uniform in the pull it together heavy ponte years. That job and need for casual tailoring has gone, had no idea they'd expanded so much.

Suprisingly for me, I have ordered little from the sale. Two men’s jumpers (the emerald Finn Donegal jumper and the Amethyst Wool Crew Neck). I have also ordered the yellow cord A-line skirt but it was only available in the XL. I have the bright green one in L from last year which I absolutely love and so I’ll have to see when it’s arrives how much bigger it is.
