Hi, my Kindred gift has arrived. It’s green and cream and very pretty.

Did those of you with the gift get the same colour as me?

Shall I post a pic?

Go on then @IlovePond . I think someone on the selling group posted a pic of hers and it was green - they look very pretty in all colours.

IlovePond · 17/02/2025 21:37

Mine’s green - a lot prettier than I was expecting. I thought it was going to be the terracotta with multicolour splashes, for some reason, but I prefer this colourway.

I like the green better too! I think that's one of the nicer gifts they've done

Countmeout · 19/02/2025 19:51

Really love the jumpsuit @OftenOrange and the skirt @ScottishMouse

I’m sorting clothes for a trip away . Here’s the check trousers. I think I explained that I sized down. They are great with navy and cream. Hopefully not too Coco the clown.

ScottishMouse · 19/02/2025 19:54

They look great @Countmeout. where are you off to? I am looking for holiday inspiration for summer.

IlovePond · 19/02/2025 20:51

They look nice @Countmeout

I like those @Countmeout very nice.

Primrosespaw · 20/02/2025 08:45

I am in Edinburgh for a few days and popped to Toast. What a friendly store. After much deliberation I bought the bib, which I have had my eye on and can confirm it is gorgeous. Sort of medieval/japanese. Much nicer tied than loose.

Countmeout · 20/02/2025 10:06

Thanks all. Very happy with them.
@ScottishMouse Off to the Malaga area - the weather is better than here which wouldn’t be difficult.

TosstTastic · 20/02/2025 10:17

I know I'm going to love the bib. Can everyone stop buying it please.

ScottishMouse · 20/02/2025 10:46

Ooh enjoy that @Countmeout. Trying to plan summer holidays here, my original plan was scuppered due to flight prices and now I’m not sure where to look at. But Málaga in summer would be far too hot.
@Primrosespaw that’s my local store, the staff are very lovely there.

hicat · 20/02/2025 14:01

Ohh @Countmeout I've been interested in those trousers but wasn't sure how they'd look irl. Your photo convinces me more than the website-they look great! Nice shoe pairing.

I just tried on the minoko check trousers (the ones with wool content) and the material is so soft and lovely. Unfortunately I think my self esteem is too low to enjoy new clothes right now, so might buy again when I level out (hah, I wonder if that's a reason for return option).

I also recieved the green bowl gift-I actually love it! Looks very nice in our kitchen.

hicat · 20/02/2025 14:06

@ScottishMouse I bought the rye patch pocket skirt (they were oos so I got it on vinted half a year later). I wore it to Morrisons to test it out, the material is very heavy and kept catering between my legs weirdly. I am maybe not tall enough? I was carrying a bag so maybe that didn't help. Can you pace your home to see if it flows ok? I'll try mine again on a blustery beach day to see if it's helpful there.

ScottishMouse · 20/02/2025 14:27

There’s lots of new reworn items online.

Snowyowl78 · 20/02/2025 14:29

@ScottishMouse just scrolled through, that Tudela Coat is interesting. Too risky to buy though I think, no idea about fit.

ScottishMouse · 20/02/2025 14:31

Lots of nice cheaney shoes which are tempting.

Stravaig · 20/02/2025 14:37

There's a cherry red Promenade Coat from the early years! Old style 12.

IlovePond · 20/02/2025 15:05

Thanks for the heads up on Reworn. I had to laugh at the state of those Aurora shoes - £58 for a pair of battered and much worn leather shoes that look like they came straight from the last resting place of a medieval peasant!

If anyone is fancying the Kibbo dress, I have one.

Be aware that it is a) very thin material and b) huge! I got one for £15 from a sample sale and I think size 8 fitted me 😹 It’s a lovely dress.

@Countmeout - those trousers look lovely on you - hope you (and they) have a good holiday

I'm very thrilled to have found a dress I've been looking for for ages on the reworn - the navy linen tunic dress. I had it in a small and it was too big so just looked like an unpleasant sack - No idea why I kept it. I'm really hoping the smaller size will do the trick. I was supposed to not be buying anything for a while due to having filled all the gaps and a dead laptop last week, but have made an exception with this!

Snowyowl78 · 20/02/2025 16:24

That’s good news @faustina i have that too in a small and I never have anything in a small! It’s very big.

Bimblesalong · 20/02/2025 16:55

Wishing I was a size 6-8, some lovely pieces in those sizes in reworn!

PrincessofWells · 20/02/2025 17:22

Any other Toasties going to the Swiss mending workshop tomorrow at 2? I'm hoping to learn how to do that wonderful mending.

Of course while I'm there I might just try on the netball bib, having been inspired by you lot 🤭

faustina · 20/02/2025 20:05

@Snowyowl78 - it is extremely generously sized! They had an XXS when I bought mine, but I thought that might be a step too far. I'm just hoping the Reworn one isn't too knackered because it was very reasonably priced. I've also just sold my S on eBay so it turns out I haven't actually spent any extra money after all.

@PrincessofWells I loved the gallery of mended pieces - all so beautifully done!
