PJ tops that aren’t indecent

Feels like unicorn poo - so suggestions welcome.

Wish list is - not going to traumatise anyone wearing around adult brother / parents.

  • Not button up (incompatible with boobs)
  • comes in 18 / proper XL
  • not see through
  • fully covers boob and stomach (so not cropped or low cut)
  • material thick enough that doesn’t highlight every subtle feature of nipple and aureola
  • sleeves - long sleeves, or if short then nearer elbow than armpit.

Help!

I don’t know the answer, OP, but I feel your pain. Pyjama designers can fuck right off. Also please can I add pyjama bottoms with no pockets, or pyjama shorts cut so short most of your arse hangs out?

ErrolTheDragon · 23/01/2025 00:08

Lands end do various decent PJs.

Are the thick enough that don’t get nipple detail?

a lot of modal seems very clingy.

I'm around adult sons at home but hate wearing a bra so I've found I get PJ bottoms then wear them with an oversized (usually menswear actually) t-shirt, has to be stretchy material and pure cotton for me. I go particularly for ones with pictures on the front to disguise the fact I'm not wearing a bra and hides the nipples. Mostly primark or supermarkets........i probably shouldn't be on a style thread really😂

I've never really noticed sorry! I usually wear a camisole under them but I've never felt like my nips are on show. 🤣☺️

It’s the middle of winter! Why aren’t you wearing a nice thick dressing gown (not a bathrobe) anywhere outside your own bed? Shock

Surely that would be easier than searching for the impossible?

Toast

Derek Rose Men’s, because better.

Carrier Company

I wear those crop top style bras to bed under my pj's, very comfy and no risk of nip slips!

Nicecatneighbour · 23/01/2025 17:25

The men's t shirty pj's in the supermarket are good.

BigSkies2022 · 23/01/2025 17:32

Why not button up? I wear Piglet in Bed linen button throughs - thick enough to show no nipple, haven't ever come unbuttoned.

MoodySky · 23/01/2025 17:46

Men's pyjamas are the answer.

Gawdimold · 23/01/2025 17:47

Sainsbury’s I swear are the best pjs

FannyCradocksDoughnut · 23/01/2025 17:58

Have a look at the Laura Ashley pj's on Next website.

Binglebong · 23/01/2025 18:16

I go with a tshirt nighty and pajama bottoms - only way I can stay covered with big boobs. And while it's not glamorous I usually just get them from Boyes as they have jersey separates.

Me too, but also to help lift them otherwise they stick to the skin below and it hurts. I stopped trying to find nightdresses with cups that actually held my boobs in when I lie on my side. Now I just layer up.

NannyR · 23/01/2025 18:21

PJ bottoms, a normal long sleeved t-shirt (not from the sleepwear department) and a zip up hoody for when you are lounging around in company.

Branleuse · 23/01/2025 18:22

Primark cheap joggers and hoodies make brilliant winter pyjamas!

2025willbemytime · 23/01/2025 18:22

I don't get the angst.

M&S do a lovely set that I've just bought.

Pull on like a jumper, pockets in the bottoms, full length.

edited to add, full length sleeved and no danger of anything showing.

cleowasmycat · 23/01/2025 18:34

Also I don't want cartoon characters on my pjs. I am not 5

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 23/01/2025 18:47

I wear t shirts and buy pj bottoms seperately.

No, you’re perfect on this style thread.

I hadn’t considered the pictures on the front camouflage.

Something added to the next Tesco shop prowl list.

Because I live in a modern house, and it’s generally not that cold. Mainly sits sad an unloved on the back of the door.

(that and a 3 year old, so when it is it’s hoodie rather than dressing gown).
