PJ tops that aren’t indecent

ScaryM0nster · 23/01/2025 00:01

Feels like unicorn poo - so suggestions welcome.

Wish list is - not going to traumatise anyone wearing around adult brother / parents.

  • Not button up (incompatible with boobs)
  • comes in 18 / proper XL
  • not see through
  • fully covers boob and stomach (so not cropped or low cut)
  • material thick enough that doesn’t highlight every subtle feature of nipple and aureola
  • sleeves - long sleeves, or if short then nearer elbow than armpit.

Help!

Why not button up? I wear Piglet in Bed linen button throughs - thick enough to show no nipple, haven't ever come unbuttoned.

Too much boob for any I’ve found to vaguely fit sensibly. They’re generally not darted, so either get bust gape on the buttons, or massively swamped.

Cyber jammies.

Wigtopia · 23/01/2025 22:48

I really like Their Nibs pjs

clarrylove · 23/01/2025 22:58

I love your list. Would also like to add v neck and with some inbuilt boob support!

gingerandsmall · 23/01/2025 23:37

Mountain warehouse pjs? I love mine and wear them year round even though they have Christmas patterns on

SereneCapybara · 23/01/2025 23:55

Primark. I have loads of Primark PJs and they all fit your description. They are good quality (not thin) supersoft cotton jersey, long sleeved with tops that come down to the hip bone, scoop-necked, not see through. You have to rake through a lot of piles of PJs that don't quite fit this description, but if you know what you are looking for, you will find them in Primark, and they last for years.

HeddaGarbled · 23/01/2025 23:59

Men’s t shirts from a supermarket.

Crispynoodle · 24/01/2025 00:05

His nibs have a sale on

dudsville · 24/01/2025 03:08

Op, pattern disguises nipples. So you don't want a block colour. Look for snything that's striped, floral, whatever. When I visit family I take something like that. And personally, I wear loose, oversized woven cotton as it doesn't cling.

pickd · 24/01/2025 03:16

Agree with the Primark jammies recommendation! They are brilliant and last very well. Can I add a suggestion of a bravissimo sleep bra too though? I have one for exactly the scenario you've described- only wear it when staying with relatives- but it's perfect for giving me some reassurance and comfy enough to sleep in easily under whatever pj top or nightie I choose. I love an Oodie sleep tee personally, super comfy and very cooling bamboo fabric so I don't feel all hot and sticky overnight. I love Victoria's Secret pyjamas too but they are expensive and honestly Primark's are every bit as good IMO Grin

pickd · 24/01/2025 03:16

Just remembered Sainsbury's do great jammies too!

maldivemoment · 24/01/2025 03:31

Have a look at Uniqlo.

Lovelysummerdays · 24/01/2025 03:41

I buy cheap, thick cotton t shirts from Aldi when they are in the middle aisle 2.99 for 2.

MrsJHernandez · 24/01/2025 04:06

I don't wear pyjamas, I wear trackies and oversized men's tshirts. You could also wear long sleeve tshirts. Have several fleece jumpers and 2 fleece oversized, zip up, longline, hooded cardis from m&s nightwear.

Plus I have many of these soft bras because I don't like my boobs flobbing all over the place with nips on show (much to DH's disappointment lol). They're padded, but you can remove the padding if you prefer. Also comfy to sleep in.

I am the queen of comfort at home! I dress like this unless I have to leave the house, and then straight back in it when I get home. At bedtime I remove the trackies and sleep in a tshirt and pants. Pyjamas don't have to be actual pyjamas. You can buy a combination of mens and womens things for your personal comfort.

2.99 for two? 😮 Wow. Here I was thinking my £5 matalan ones were a bargain!

PleaseAndThankYou12 · 24/01/2025 04:36

ASOS or Chelsea Peers - expensive but excellent quality. Have had some from there last me the past 5 years and they're still going strong! And I tumble dry them!

SparkleShineRainbow · 24/01/2025 04:40

I wear souvenir t shirts with cute pj bottoms (eg hush, white stuff).
might not be your style but seems to fit the criteria.
plus I enjoy getting hold of a new t shirt. Eg for a band, or a place I’ve visited, charity event. DH sometimes gets me something as a gift.

for maximum coziness add cashmere blend socks 😃

or if you want a matching set just go to next or M&S and get the kids which has a t shirt on top

Girldogcheese · 24/01/2025 07:09

I’m another one that goes for pjs bottoms and a normal T-shirt. I wear Sainsbury’s cotton pj bottoms and then a souvenir T-shirts ive picked up on days out with my daughter.

CurlewKate · 24/01/2025 07:11

I wear leggings and a big t shirt.

viques · 24/01/2025 08:16

cleowasmycat · 23/01/2025 18:34

Also I don't want cartoon characters on my pjs. I am not 5

Me neither. Don’t want writing either.

notacooldad · 24/01/2025 08:45

I think the last few pairs of pj's i got were from Sainsbury's.
Just a t shirt style top with long sleeves.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 23/01/2025 22:46

Cyber jammies.

Which ones?

The drapy modal tops give excellent aureole definition, and the button ups gape.

I love the comfort, so if I’m missing a style would be keen to know.

Another one who wears bottoms from wherever (but must have pockets. Primark do good cotton ones, as do M&S - often wear men’s as hate twee colours or patterns - and also John Lewis). Then a tee shirt with a crop top underneath. Sorted on all counts.

NeedWineNow · 24/01/2025 08:59

I like Cyberjammies PJ’s and nighties as they are soft and comfortable and the bottoms have pockets. They are quite a soft modal so if we’re staying at friends or family I wear a soft crop top underneath (only me and DH at home so no need to bother then).
