@SqueakyDinosaur That was at the Royal garden Party that I was at! I can confirm it was even more stunning in real life. By the way Zara Beatrice and Eugenia are all very slender in real life too.

I was there too. So gutted about how awful the weather was. I only saw Bea in the flesh (DH was insisting on lurking in the tea tent as he didn't want to get his uniform drenched) I couldn't believe how tiny she was!

@Runningupthecurtains We must have been stood near each other as we were cowering in the tent too!

I was just a hanger on - It was DH who was invited (but I'd been badgering him to put himself into the draw his squadron do for ticket for years so I could report back to this thread).

Im chuffed to say I was the one invited. Don’t know why I didn’t think to report back here at the time! We also saw William who was absolutely lovely with the crowds. Zara and Mike Tindall spent ages with people in wheelchairs who had waited to speak to them

I'm not that keen on Mary's dress - although it is very regal. Her hair is lovely though.

Not so keen on Mary's dress - a rare miss. I think it would look better without the high, white neckline.

I like that Zara has left her top button(s) undone too. She usually looks very trussed up.

Yes that is exactly what I think about Zara's usual style - it looks trussed up. She has been wearing some stuff recently (thanks to these threads I've seen it :)) that is much looser and nicer.

Mary looks like she's feeling the cold in that dress and kept her Under Armour on.
I rather like Zara's dress, looking forward to some more Summery looks

Mary and Fred at another new year’s reception (unless she went for an outfit change and new hairstyle midway through the evening). Overall I really like this dress but I can’t decide if I love or hate the bodice.

It's a no from me and Mary should stay away from those pale muted colours. She looks so good in stronger or deeper tones, like the green gown from the NYE event.

I like the bodice of Mary's dress but I think it would have been better with a non-patterned fabric - maybe a rich blue velvet. the pattern seems wrong with it to me.

That coat of arms must have been a while in the making/redoing - pretty clever to produce it now though.
