They did, they so did! I sat between them 🤷

*Maybe...

😂

MotherofPearl · 19/12/2024 19:16

Checking in! Looking forward to festive RS&B chat. Thanks as always @Maireas

I think I read that William and Kate were staying at their own home and bobbing in and out of Sandringham this year. Which is lovely for the children.

RomainingToBeSeen · 19/12/2024 20:45

The Belgian Royals at their Carol concert. Princess Elisabeth looks stunning in that burgundy velvet dress.

She does look stunning. I think Mathilde could have done with the waist being a bit more nipped in but it's an interesting dress in a lovely colour.

Eleanore's dress would look nicer an inch or two longer but I guess the dress was not made to measure. It's a lovely Christmassy picture. Nice tree!

Maireas · 19/12/2024 21:17

I really like the velvet dress!

KiIIingMeDeftly · 19/12/2024 21:31

The velvet is very Christmassy! Is it one of Mathilde's old dresses?

Papergirl1968 · 19/12/2024 21:49

Someone on the last thread asked about royal Christmas cards. This is the Wales’.

Thanks! That's nice - it looks like a still from that film they made.

Yes, I thought that, @Maireas

Sidebeforeself · 19/12/2024 22:07

Sophie! Once again, get thyself down to Rigby and Pellers!

Lunde · 19/12/2024 22:15

Love the burgundy dress and the silvery one as well.

I think that Mathilde's dress could have done with another fitting as the pleats don't seem to be sitting correctly (tbh it looks like one of my Christmas wrapping fails)

eggandonion · 19/12/2024 22:58

Velvet is fabulous at Christmas.

deeahgwitch · 20/12/2024 07:09

Mathilde looks great @RomainingToBeSeen

RomainingToBeSeen · 20/12/2024 23:48

And more lovely velvet from CPV at the Swedish Academy tonight.

That's a gorgeous colour on her.

Maireas · 21/12/2024 07:22

That's a beautiful dress.

I love the jewellery! A little understated and interesting.

RomainingToBeSeen · 22/12/2024 10:14

That's lovely @Lunde. I'd definitely wear that, I wonder whether CPV would be kind enough to pass it on.

eggandonion · 22/12/2024 10:39

The royals must be delighted at getting new jewels. Instead of having to wear the same old great granny diamonds. I wonder how much being is languishing unloved.
I have a couple of inherited nasty vases, I have them hidden away.
That would be great telly, royal hideous unused stuff.

Choux · 22/12/2024 11:02

Victoria's necklace and earrings are at least 20 years old as she wore them to the Spanish royal wedding in 2004. Bulgari apparently.

There's a pic here of her wearing them with an orange dress at the wedding so they are very versatile. There is apparently also a ring.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/12/2024 11:34

Oh my, that 2004 outfit is the epitome of 2004!

frugalkitty · 22/12/2024 16:44

Checking in after a very busy end of term. Thank you for the new thread @Maireas fab title!

Pretty much set for Christmas celebrations in our house, although it seems I may need another bottle of baileys as supplies are running low......whoopsie! I hope anyone celebrating is feeling festive, and send big unmumsnetty hugs to those in need.
