Kate looked great.
So elegant.
There was something different about her but I couldn't put my finger on it.
Her coat was beautiful.
The Duchess of Gloucester's purple velvet was gorgeous- I'm a sucker for velvet.
Camilla's pink was lovely- I'm a sucker for pink too.
I thought Anne's coat fabric was too heavy for the hat. The coat needed a more substantial fabric hat.
The hat was more for a summer outfit.

Had a google of the Duchess of Gloucester - oh yes, gorgeous outfit! Fab colour and style.
I saw a short clip of Kate at the end of the National Anthem and it really looked like she was holding back tears. Might have been one of those annoying AI clips that you think are real, but if not, she did look tearful :-(

I thought Kate’s coat was swamping her and the hat is too Call The Midwife for me, But it’s great to see her out and about and looking so happy

I like the red coat. The good thing about the hat is that you can clearly see her face, and her lovely smile. I have serious coat envy for the Duchess of Gloucester’s purple one

I loved the red coat when we've seen it before but not so much this time. I think it's better suited to a Winter or evening function but mainly I think PoW's hair is a bit lighter so the colour is a bit too much. I wondered if she'd lightened her hair but there are a few comments on SM that suggest she might have stopped dying it and a few wisdom highlights are sneaking in.

She looks wan.

I agree about POW's hair - it's definitely lighter and the close up shot of her looked like she was letting her natural colour come though. All credit to her if she is!

I'm not keen on the red coat or the red hat or the red shoes or the red....was there anything else? A bag? It's a hard shade to carry off particularly when everything is matchy matchy and can look a bit cheap. I know the late Queen favoured a single strong colour for recognition purposes, but a bit early in the day for Catherine to do the same. I'd like to see her being more adventurous with some interesting contrasts. IMO obviously!

I think she's even slimmer than she used to be, and she looks tired, or at least she doesn't look well.

Zara at Cheltenham Festival in a Fairfax & Favor coat and boots (she is the brand ambassador so presumably gets loaned or given them), an Aspinall bag and a hideous mustard fascinator!

There were some great pictures of Zara last week in Fairfax and Favor - some really lovely choices. Sadly that mustard hat isn't one of them, I did wonder whether she was wearing it for a bet with somebody.

Za looks fabulous until you get to the hat!
She could have pulled off a navy hat with a feather in to complete the very county look.

My DIL is mad on F&F. She only buys in the sales though 😄

I see Isabella of Denmark will be having two birthday celebrations for her 18th. Chip off the old (but still youthful-looking, obv!) block? 😆

I like Zara’s outfit but the hat has to go. A contrast, yes, but not that one 😂
Cams suits the pink, she sticks to a formula that works for her. The red isn’t my favourite look on Kate, and I agree a bit of fun or contrast with the accessories would be a nice change. I wondered if she’s had fewer little tweaks so looks more natural, lovely any way, and looks a lot like Pippa too there.

She's still posting but under a different name. Still posting royal fashion and blind items and setting up a subscription...

This was in referral to RFP, not Isabella! Though two birthday celebrations does make me wonder...!

May be she has to have an official that all the old fogies and dignitaries attend, and then the actual fun one with her friends and family.

I had a school friend whose 18th was like that. Duty relatives and father's business acquaintances 12 - 4pm, then the fun bit 7pm onwards.
