I like the style and cut of Mary's dress, but not the pattern on the fabric. The tiara is nice, just enough if you don't want the full blown look. Tres chic.

Thanks for that @Serenster , that's really interesting, and I love the fact that they're Roman gems. I'm glad she's wearing the lesser seen items.

BTW for anyone who's interested in Roman gems (I know, I know...) the BBC podcast Thief at the British Museum is absolutely brilliant (and features a fantastic Danish historian/gem expert who was the one who uncovered the whole story).

Mary looks great! Max and Wax are on state visit at the moment too, to Cyprus, but I don't know if they're having a tiara-level dinner.

Tiaras are like buses. Nothing for ages and then two come along at once. And it’s one of my favorites!

Leti in a pinstripe suit. I like the cut of the suit, the jacket is neat and fits well, and the trousers are full without being baggy or shapeless. However, I don't like it with the shirt and tie, it looks too much like a costume. A soft blouse would have been better.

I love that look on Letizia. She's gone the full Diane Keaton! Nicole Kidman wore a suit and tie to an awards ceremony recently too and looked fantastic, so Leti is on-trend!

Yeah, I've never liked that look. It's like she's playing a part.

I’m not loving the power suit look on Leti, it just looks contrived and dated to me.
I do love Mary’s diadem though, apparently Roman gems? I’ll go and read more.

Letizia's suit is the opposite of dated - it's a very on-trend look and celebs of all ages have been wearing them lately!
