I love Camilla’s chocolate coat. Softer than black but still a practical colour. I love Max’s leather skirt and knit combo and love the colour. I’m not keen on the colour of the boots and bag. Looks a pit plasticky. I’m not feeling the snake brooch either 😆

justasking111 · 22/01/2025 07:54

Apart from Sophie's trousers at half mast, everyone looks lovely, chocolate coats don't suit me unfortunately. Max rarely disappoints. Melania looking very vampish she has an amazing figure.

deeahgwitch · 22/01/2025 08:11

Love Max's green outfit.
I agree the boots look a bit plasticky @smilesy.
What fabric is Leti's coat ?
I'd love to see what a fringe would be like on Princess Anne. I think it would suit her.
Sophie is looking great at the moment.

Papergirl1968 · 22/01/2025 18:42

I can’t find any info on Leti’s coat fabric or designer, @deeahgwitch
Meanwhile Princess Anne continues her tour of South Africa and the Norwegian royals release photos to mark Princess Ingrid’s 21st birthday.

That first picture of Ingrid Alexandra pisses me right off. It's HER birthday. SHE is the heir to the throne. So why is her little brother front and centre in full alpha male pose while she's kind of draped over him in a simpery, apologetic way? As she becomes an adult she should be presented in formal portraits as a future Queen Regnant.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/01/2025 20:08

That was one of five photos shared on the Norwegian royal family's Instagram account. The first was of Ingrid in army fatigues, as she's currently undergoing military service, 3 more of her alone, and then the last was of her and Sverre Magnus. I don't think she's posing in a simpering manner - it's just a casual photo of her and her brother at their aunt's wedding! And she may well have chosen which photos she wanted to share.

Maireas · 22/01/2025 20:20

I didn't realise that Anne was in South Africa. I rather like her outfit, and the brooch, although I'm not keen on the white shoes and bag. Perhaps taupe or pale green?

Eaumyword · 22/01/2025 20:23

Gosh, Anne's shoes are so like what her mum wore when she was younger! I quite like the colour of her outfit and admire as ever, her energy to be out and about when all most of us want to do is hibernate until January is over!

Fair enough - I know I'm massively overreacting! But at the age of 58, I have absolutely had it up to HERE with women making themselves small to make men feel good. And IIRC the law was changed during her lifetime so she took over the position from S-M, which I guess might be somewhat awkward if you're close siblings, even if there's nothing you can do about it.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 22/01/2025 21:15

The law was changed in the early 90s, so long before Ingrid was born and I doubt there's ever been any sort of awkwardness between her and her brother as they wouldn't have known anything else.

You might be thinking of Sweden, where the law changed after Carl Philip was born but, unlike Norway, was retrospective and Victoria became Crown Princess. Though even in their cases they were so young when it happened that they wouldn't remember a time when she wasn't the heir.

SqueakyDinosaur · 22/01/2025 21:40

Oh yes, it must be Sweden that I'm thinking of. Thanks!

Ingrid and her brother look lovely, all apple cheeked and healthy. What a nice picture! Thanks, Deftly, for explaining about the line of succession. I'm glad it's changing and females aren't being bumped down.

Leto in a Zara blazer opening a tourism fair and Max visiting a children’s foundation. That burnt orange is a hard colour to pull off!

Squeaky I had exactly the same thought about that photo!

I like Max's outfit, and think Leti's blazer looks cheap, which it is. But some Zara stuff looks more expensive than it is.

Papergirl1968 · 23/01/2025 21:14

Another busy day for the royals.
Leti visiting a school in Madrid, Charlene at a former French minister’s funeral and Max at a mental health event.

I love Sophie in her winter white outfits. She wore a lot last year.

Maireas · 23/01/2025 22:37

Sophie looks really nice in those pictures. I like the polka dot dress and the pale grey coat.

That's the best I've seen Sophie look for ages. Much more co-ordinated and polished.

MotherofPearl · 23/01/2025 22:57

I loathe those black loafers of Leti's I'm afraid.

But on the plus side, I love Max's green twinset. I have quite a penchant for twinsets. Very county!

I’m not keen on that iteration of the leather skirt and knit on Max. I don’t like the ombré effect on the skirt and those boots look even more plasticky in that photo

posted too soon. Meant to say I agree about Sophie in the polka dots. A great look

KiIIingMeDeftly · 24/01/2025 08:30

I have never seen ombre on leather before but god bless Max, at least she's never dull!

PoppySeedBagelRedux · 24/01/2025 12:24

I have just come across this little article about how the lace was used in Catherine's wedding dress:

Glam granny Rania has just announced that she is to be a gran again, this time it's Iman who's pregnant.

Pallisers · 24/01/2025 14:13

That's a gorgeous outfit on Sophie. I love the coat. Does anyone know where the coat is from?
