Oh no, I thought Zara was wearing comedy glasses, hadn't realised that was a serious look. And I don't much like the dress with the 'ice skater beige' panels in the front.

Leonor looks great in her navy uniform. Tough day for the parents though having to do the expected Royal duties while you wave goodbye to your daughter so very publicly. Leti looks good in that suit though.

Once again, Zara would look much better if she'd left the top button undone.
Her glasses are awful.

The glasses are so bad that they must be a sponsor deal. That dress is a bit of everything that doesn't work for Zara.

"Ice skater beige" is a good description. If she lopped several inches off the skirt she'd be ready for her short programme!

It mystifies me how Zara can look so good in casual clothes and then the moment she has to dress up she chooses something that either makes her look all trussed up or like it came from a Karen Millen store in 2009!

In a nutshell...

The glasses can't be from an ordinary range?
Zara needs a Trinny and Suzannah intervention with her frocks, they look uncomfortable. And her casual look is great.
I do like the matching tie thing they often do.

Zara’s sunglasses must have caught the light strangely in the photo posted upthread? They looked perfectly normal (and nice) in other pictures.

I wasn’t wild about her blue dress with the sheer (illusion?) inset. This shorter dress with the open neck seemed great, though, especially since we know she has fab legs.

Still think it would look better with the top button undone, like the black and white one in the other pic.

The story of my life - I have a long torso, as does Kate and likely Zara as well. I’m forever having to cut off belt loops, and rejecting outright several lovely dresses because the waist is only just under my boobs! Not to mention the fact that most jumpsuits are a complete no-no… 🤣

Yes, the sunglasses look better in the other photo. Her patterned dress is better, slightly less fussy design and better colours for her.

In the first photo, the sunglasses make it look like she’s channelling her inner Dame Edna. Appropriate in Australia perhaps? 😆

Here's the Japanese Imperial family at a New Year lecture. The full length dresses with hats is a very retro look, although I like the eau de nil.
The Empress looks lovely in the cobalt blue without the hat.

They look very Edwardian.

The Japanese court seems rather stifling but Masako is looking well these days and seems to have made the role her own.

I await her book on her skincare secrets as she's in her 60s but strangely ageless!

I wish the Japanese royal family would wear full Japanese court dress from the late 19th/early 20th century rather than british court dress. Seems a pity.

Good to hear Kate’s in remission, though I thought how thin she looked on the tv news.
Max has been busy - at a community embroidery session in her pyjamas a purple trouser suit, and a new year reception in a sequinned coat.

And this was back in December but I don’t remember seeing it (although I might have forgotten) but Catherine-Amalia looked lovely at a state banquet, wearing Max’s wedding tiara.

I think the cut is quite nice, but I really don't like the glittery purple fabric, it just looks cheap.
