What do you think of this ring? We have been looking for the perfect engagement ring and I don’t want him to spend a lot, 2k max, and we don’t want lab grown gems. I just can’t justify spending

How would that fit with a wedding ring? It looks very...sparkly.

Purplecatshopaholic · 16/12/2024 00:22

Personally I love that, it’s right up my street. Beautiful.

FuckItItsFine · 16/12/2024 00:24

I think it’s stunning! It’s not my style but if I saw it on someone else I would think wow. If that makes sense.

Sugarnspicenallthingsnaice · 16/12/2024 00:27

It's very pretty, I also wonder about it sitting alongside other rings though.

Also, do the diamantes go all the way round? I prefer a smooth band on the palm side otherwise you are forever having to take the ring off to avoid food, soap etc getting clogged in it, plus if you touch yourself or anyone else (e.g. putting suncream on) with that hand it feels scratchy.

AmethystRuby · 16/12/2024 00:28

beautiful!

Radishknot · 16/12/2024 00:30

It’s not my style, I don’t like halo settings and all the diamonds on the band.

JC03745 · 16/12/2024 00:31

It only matters if YOU like it OP.

Personally, the small diamond square around the main diamond and the tiny side ones, are just an attempt to make the main overall look, seem larger. I'd personally prefer a single diamond, or at least far less tiny ones down the sides and around the main diamond.

purpleme12 · 16/12/2024 00:32

I can't say I'm a fan

TheVampireArmand · 16/12/2024 00:32

Definitely not my thing. It's more "bling" than anything. Too in your face for an engagement ring. And how would the wedding ring look?

Bigearringsbigsmile · 16/12/2024 00:34

It's not my cup of tea but your the only person who needs to like it

Bigearringsbigsmile · 16/12/2024 00:34

And how is 2k not a lot?🤣

BasiliskStare · 16/12/2024 00:38

@Louise123uk - I think it is very pretty and I like it.

From personal experience I had an engagement ring similar to that & I took it back after a day - purely because I wanted a ring I could wear every day . I just thought mine would end up being more of a "dress ring" so I have a rub over style which I have been wearing for 30 years - but that is a practical point . Do I think that ring is very pretty - yes I do

Congratulations

stripeyshutters · 16/12/2024 00:42

You can never have too many diamonds! I love it!

Hayley1256 · 16/12/2024 00:45

It is really nice but I'm not sure how practical it will be due to the gaps. I imagine soap, creams, make up, food etc will all get stuck in there

healthybychristmas · 16/12/2024 00:50

I would rather have a square diamond solitaire, sorry don't know the correct names! I'd rather all my money went into one stone rather than several small ones.

BibbityBobbityToo · 16/12/2024 00:54

Not my style and if I noticed it on someone else, I would assume it was a Pandora type fake.

(What's wrong with lab made diamonds?)

tothelefttotheleft · 16/12/2024 00:58

You can get a lot for your money if you buy pre loved.

Pre_ownedluxuries on instagram have some great buys.

SlebBB · 16/12/2024 01:00

It looks very on trend, it will date very quickly and get filled with dirt and look grey.
Keep looking.

WatchOutForBabyHaggis · 16/12/2024 01:01

You can never have too many diamonds!

Everyone's taste is different...personally I think the ring is proof that you definitely CAN have too many diamonds 😬

justasking111 · 16/12/2024 01:04

It's beautiful, but in a dress ring way unless you're not planning to wear it all the time.

SybilTheSpy · 16/12/2024 01:06

It looks a bit 2016

ISeriouslyDoubtIt · 16/12/2024 01:23

Tacky. Too many tiny diamonds. Much more elegant to have fewer stones in a plain gold or platinum setting eg single solitaire or 3 stones.

cantthinkofausernametoadd · 16/12/2024 01:30

I'm selling my 2.09ct solitaire ring- most recent insurance valuation £5k+ following divorce if you're interested. It's in white gold.

NailsHairNipsHeels · 16/12/2024 01:32

I think it is very much down to personal preference and also how it looks on your hand.

I like the split shank but not keen on the space round the centre stone. But that's just my opinion for jewellery I would wear.

If you like it, it's in budget then it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of it

KittenPause · 16/12/2024 01:34

I like it

Do you like it ?

I like most engagement rings and never judge anyone's because I just give them a quick glance then completely forget about them

You're the one looking at it all the time so pick the one you love
