In your opinion what is the nicest ever perfume?

OP posts:
BurntBroccoli · 10/12/2024 00:09

Gucci Envy (Discontinued 😢)
Miss Dior (one from the 80s not modern one)

EBearhug · 10/12/2024 00:11

Laura Ashley No 1 (discontinued)
Eau de Givenchy (discontinued)

Gucci Flora is a good one. I expect they're about to discontinue it...

CK one is my fave. It just smells nice on me!

I wear this all the time too and the CKBe

bluecampbell · 10/12/2024 00:14

Clarins Eau Dynamisante for daily wear, I've loved it since I was in my twenties.
And for evening, First by Van Cleef & Arpels. I worked for a lovely lady in my late teens who wore it, I loved it so much and told her and she gifted me my first bottle as a birthday present.

XelaM · 10/12/2024 00:15

Chanel No.5

Fraaahnces · 10/12/2024 00:24

I think I’m a perfume killer. As soon as I decide “That’s it! This one’s mine!” It’s discontinued.
i would give anything for a bottle of Trussardi Skin. Nothing has come close.
Also Lacroix EDP - The original one in the enormous sea shell bottle.
ironically, I didn’t like either of them at all when I first smelled them, but after walking around with them for a couple of hours, I HAD to buy them. I wore them for years and frequently had people asking what I was wearing.

Mother87 · 10/12/2024 00:27

Armani Privé - Bois d'Encens
It's DIVINE imo - i usually find it on Ebay/BNIB

BeaLola · 10/12/2024 00:27

In no particular order,

Chanel No 5
Chanel Gardenia
Estée Lauder Knowing - this is the one that people always comment on how lovely it is from close friends, colleagues to complete strangers who stop and ask me

I love perfume!

YSL - Baby doll Paris (not sure they make it any more)

Dolce & Gabbana - Desire (Sadly discontinued)

Nina Ricci - I think it's called Nina

Hugo Boss - I think it was called Woman (may also be discontinued).

I've also had Gucci, Jimmy Choo, CK perfumes over the years. Nice, but not faves.

YSL Babydoll was my perfume for many, many years. I loved it, and it was discontinued 😩😩My husband hunted down the last few bottles available in London and I made it last as long as I could but then it was gone.

Now, I wear Miss Dior eau de parfum, and the edp of Vetiver by Diptyque. These tend to last reasonably well on me.

Enough4me · 10/12/2024 00:30

Day - Kenzo flower
Evening - Hugo Boss deep red
Summer's day - Lush snowfairy (sold in colder months but I like it in the summer!)

JFDIYOLO · 10/12/2024 00:30

I was given a sample of Orange Blossom when I was in Penhaligon's recently. Absolutely fell in love. It's been discontinued 😭. Ah well ... I'd never have been able to afford it.

The one I get the most comments on is Penhaligon’s Halfeti, but it’s fearfully expensive and I’m not sure I’ll ever be in the position to be able to justify another bottle.

For day to day and more affordable, I like Clinique Happy. Fancy trying their Elixir after reading previous comments though.

Clinique Happy is glorious.

It's my summer holiday perfume.

Wheelyfast · 10/12/2024 01:25

This reminds me of happy times

Narciso Rodriguez
I love the smell of that perfume but it just doesn't hold on me!

Same

I love Chanel no 19 poudre but also doesn’t have any silage or projection. Going back to Prada Iris. I dislike anything sweet or heavy.

Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Jo Malone

Yes! Def this one

JingleB · 10/12/2024 04:53

I had the sample tin from Penhaligon’s with 16 or so perfumes and I loved about half of them.
Levantium was my favourite but it’s been discontinued so I’m having to ration the last of the bottle
