Beauty advent calendars 2024 #4

We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

My SpaceNK calendar has finally entered the shipping process! I was beginning to wonder if I’d just get a cancellation email one day.

IDontHateRainbows · 06/10/2024 14:42

Anyone going for Sephora this year?
A few DODs in there but enough decent stuff to make it worth it I think.
Releases late, end of Oct

IlovePond · 06/10/2024 14:58

@IDontHateRainbows - I have just rewatched a Sephora review on YouTube. I quite like it and prefer the lip products to those in SpaceNK.

For me, I think it’s a good calendar, and if I ever got it as a present, (fat chance!) I would be pleased.

Having said that, it was only the Glossier and Huda products that I thought: ‘Yes, really want to try those!’ By contrast, there was quite a lot I was excited about in SpaceNK, (but I couldn’t bring myself to spend £250!)

AskingQuestions45 · 06/10/2024 16:14

Trying to look at the contents of the candle advent but can’t find the contents listed anywhere. Likewise the Lumene calendar.

IDontHateRainbows · 06/10/2024 16:20

Excitedly awaiting the space fragrance calendar release next week. Let's hope they are more organized than with the AC. Especially as I'm away next weekend and the Evri man has a habit of leaving things in my hedge where its visible to anyone walking down the street, so I want to be in when it arrives.

I have £50 in vouchers so it will only get £100 of actual money

sharpclawedkitten · 06/10/2024 16:25

I had an email about the Lumene one but think it must have sold out and they've removed the page.

SoloCat · 06/10/2024 17:13

Growlybear83 · 06/10/2024 13:31

@SoloCat I've only recently discovered the joy of Diptyque, and I hadn't thought about Christmas sets 😳. I'm going to be broke soon!

Too late for me 😂
I’m in the process of paying for some cosmetic work, otherwise I’d of bought a few other advents by now! I’m hoping that the Christmas sets don’t inspire me 😀

SoloCat · 06/10/2024 19:33

IlovePond · 06/10/2024 14:32

SpaceNK have again disabled their shop search function for the advent calendar. I can’t believe there isn’t one in stock somewhere - at least you should be able to search and confirm it for!

I shouldn’t be looking at it anyway. I had plenty of chances to buy it, but I think I have FOMO!

It’s annoying isn’t it…stop yourself buying an advent, as soon as they’re OOS it’s complete FOMO and need to hunt one down! 😁

The L'occitane calendar is £53 on LG with code LFTAKE22. The Liz Earle calendar is also available with the discount code.

Should say LF (Look Fantastic) not LG!

Just had an email to say Tatcha have released their Ltd Ed Christmas Sets (all have a saving on RRP).

There's quite a lot of them and they look lovely

I remember someone asking in one of the threads about stationary advents. This is an unboxing of a Papier one and she has a discount code for £10 off.

They look lovely @OvaHere - I have never tried Tatcha - what’s it like?

@SoloCat - I was actually in the presence of a SpaceNK calendar irl and walked away, so I really should let it go!

The Tatcha serum in the a/c was one of the items I was keen to try - maybe I should get one of the sets instead of an a/c.

Isabelle70 · 06/10/2024 22:33

Oops, I seem to have ordered the JL candle advent but I did get 5% off and purchased through topcashback so even more of a saving :)
Anyone else going to have set the alarm earlier to get all the calendars opened before work??

IlovePond · 06/10/2024 22:33

Thanks @virgocatlover I quite like the look of the L’Occitane calendar, but I don’t use soap and I have industrial quantities of hand cream, (and I never remember to use any of it 🙀). If there were more serums and shower stuff I would have succumbed as I like L’Occitane products.

IlovePond · 06/10/2024 22:35

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but if you do buy from LF, make sure you always leave reviews of every single item, even freebies, as you get reward points for every one you write.

It's all beautiful. The dewy cream is gorgeous. I had a sample of it and couldn't stop touching my face as it felt so lovely.

Only full size product I have at the minute is the Indigo cleansing balm which doesn't irritate my skin (a lot do). I only use it when I have make up to take off though because you don't get a lot of product for the price.

I'm going to buy the dewy cream and the Indigo overnight cream when I've sufficiently used up my current creams.

I'd buy everything if i could!

OvaHere · 06/10/2024 23:19

If you have SpaceNK nearby they carry the range although the testers of the most popular product are often empty.

IlovePond · 06/10/2024 23:35

Thanks @OvaHere

Look Fantastic appears to have the Lumene calendar, although it doesn't come up on an 'advent calendar' search as it's called something different for some reason...

If you have opened and tested all your perfumes in perfume advent - share your thoughts' in one of the scent of the day or perfume talk forums. Would love short reviews of the harrods for example!

Thanks! Just bought this (L’occitane). I was debating paying more for their luxury advent which has nicer packaging but the majority of both calendars are travel size stuff so doesn’t make much difference to me. The basic calendar is missing out on some of the more popular almond oil products but for the price difference between the two you could just buy a particular product if you fancy it!

Edited

I would definitely buy it but I still haven’t used most of the stuff from last year yet!

Quick note on L'Occitane and of you order direct from there ...

Code TREAT gets you x 3 minis if you spend £40. Valid till 17 November. Plus you choose x 3 samples at checkout and can opt to either have the wrapped for you in one bag or they send the little bag for you to do yourself so handy if you're going to split to gift.

Delivery is free anyway on £40 and if you're just under, they do a lovely mini perfume atomiser for £3.99 which I got last week to save paying delivery ... my weird logic is I may as well pay the same £ and have a "thing" to show for it!

I got it for my mum, she goes away quite often so I think/hope she’ll get nice use out of the travel mini’s!! She always has full size stuff but too unorganised to decant into travel bottles!

and hopefully anything she’s not interested in could be passed on to me :)
