Just ordered the John Lewis Advent Calendar using the My John Lewis £10 beauty reward discount that was on my account and went via topcashback for a bit back. I will use the retinol products and like a lot of the others, so it's good value for me.I had the JL last year and really liked it.
I did compare it to Liberty, and I love some of the products in the Liberty and the box is more festive looking than the JL box, but I can't justify the higher price when I look at what I'll actually use.
Harrods did look amazing, but I missed the boat on it. Sold out faster than I expected online.
Space NK did look amazing, too, but it's also sold out online.
Fenwicks is always lovely, and usually have one of the best looking boxes, but the product sizes are usually small except for the 25th drawer most years.
Elemis was tempting, but I will get the annual QVC Christmas special bundle if it comes up instead as those are the products I use from them most anyway.
Temped to order the Look Fantastic AC just for the top 3 items which pretty much cover the price of the calendar. Although I have clocked they've downsized the Elemis marine cream to 30mls and still call it 'full size'. Full size used to mean 50ml. So that's annoying. But the skincare looks to be good value.
Lumene is one of my favourite skin care brands as I get on well with their products (not everyone does). But their calendar is only good value if you get it on a discounted basis as the sizes are quite small relative to many other beauty calendars.
Ordered Glossybox for my teen; it's what she wanted and looks nice for teens.
Will look at M&S when it comes out. Am on the email list and have a sparks account.
I am wondering if retailers have once again cut down on AC numbers since there have been steep discounts the past couple of years, hence some of the favourites selling out so quickly.
