My Rituals advent calendar arrived this morning - its huge and really heavy 😁

I treated myself during Covid year to the Rituals and the L'occitane a/c as I wasn't spending much money on anything but although I love L'occitane in general, I found I didn't really use several of the items. The following year I did a perfume a/c which I loved (it had mini aftershaves as well so has been brilliant for our holidays). I still have some of the perfumes left though so not ready for another one of those yet.

Rituals have 3 on offer and I'm afraid I succumbed to the most expensive but I will use everything and the website says the contents are worth almost double the cost of the calendar.

Now have got to resist opening it for over 2 months!

My SpaceNK Calendar arrived today. Very quick turnaround from complaining via the Instagram DMs, to the calendar being dispatched and delivered. They did never address why later orders were fulfilled before the initial orders - so I’m not sure what the process is for managing the logistics of who received the calendar and when. The Royal Mail postage suggested they sent it 48 hours tracked delivery, which was helpful to be able to see when it would come!

I just had a look and, for anyone else in Ireland, it looks like they are now shipping to Ireland. Even better, it's duty paid so no nasty surprises on delivery.

I must go and check some of the others that haven't been shipping her for the past few years.

Just seen an ad for Selfridges. Looks to be a lot of small sizes.

Harvey Nick's AC on sale now for reward members. I'm tempted, but getting slight AC burnout and I'd have to be sure I could make my money back selling the things I don't.kerp.

I went to a SpaceNK store today to visit the advent calendar- again!

The lovely and very helpful girl in there showed me some of the products on the shelves that are in the a/c. Having discovered that the lip gloss/lipstick thingy in the shade Joy is orange, this promptly became another DoD for me!

I ummed and ahhed for a bit, but left it.

However, I still want the AB serum, the SR CEO serum and the Hourglass blush having seen them irl. I also have a trial sample of AB to try, courtesy of the really friendly girl in there - she is a credit to the company!

In case anyone is interested/local, the Tunbridge Wells branch has two a/c in stock as of an hour ago. Please buy them, so I don’t go back tomorrow and get one myself 😹

If it is just those products you are interested in, there are some sellers on Vinted selling bits from the Space NK calendar. I saw the SR oil for around £14, the AB serum for under £50 and lots of other bits. Might be worth having a look on there. 🙂

@IlovePond The Hourglass Blush is gorgeous. I got that the year I had to do the homemade calendar. It came in the edit I bought. If I ever finish the blushers I currently have, that's the one I'm buying. I'm currently going through 2 Jane Iredale ones and a Natasha Denona one so it could be a while.

Naturismo have said they're doing an advent but haven't released full details yet

I usually get the M&S and the H&B cals, I keep a few bits and mainly use for the DD's stockings.

I'd love the JL one but it's too expensive really. Anyone had the Anthropologie cal before?

@IlovePond If it helps, the calendar lists the shade in the calendar is Hope, not Joy, which is more of a pinky colour than an orange. I haven't checked what is in my advent though so it is possible they have put the wrong one in the advents

Ah, fair enough @psuedocream3 - thanks. Hope is a much nicer colour, so maybe the assistant today made a mistake. Hope so, as Hope will suit more people, I think, than the orangey one!

Thank you! You sound similar colouring to me. I am tempted but there is an hourglass blusher in my Space NK calendar so I’m thinking the money might be better spent on getting a second calendar as I have my eye on a couple. That said I may just throw all my money at beauty products on the run up to Christmas and worry about it later 😅

I rang Space NK and they said orders placed on 15/9 will be dispatched 02/10. Bit annoying but oh well

I’m also tempted by the Hourglass palettes, particularly the evil eye one. I have one of the three pan ambient lighting edits and it is gorgeous. It’s the closest thing I can find that emulates ‘golden hour’ lighting. The brushes are beautiful as well! I have the double ended one that’s recommended for loose powder and it’s soooo soft.

Then there’s the sensible side of me that’s shouting don’t be bloody ridiculous! You’ve just spent £254 on an advent calendar! Hmmm, it’s my birthday in October and then Christmas. If it’s still in stock on my birthday I may buy it as a birthday present to myself!

It's linked to Caroline Hiron's but they have a fair price policy for all advent items. Basically, they work out the price for each item so the total of them all isn't more than the cost of the calendar. I've managed to pick up some items at really good prices and always had a great experience.

I’ve had Anthropologie before. It was lovely, but small sizes. Useful things like lip balm and some nice perfume samples. It was the first calendar I got good genes in and have used it ever since! It comes in a lovely box that is good for storage. I think it sold out last year before discount, but I’ve bought it with discount in the week before Black Friday.

Anthropologie have a £20 off sign up bonus at the moment which would bring the calendar to £68.

Alternatively, if you are a student (or know one that will code share) there is a 20% off student code via student beans which brings it to £70.40.

I’m still undecided though. Too much nail polish and not enough make up for DD.
