I wonder why there are so many issues this year (Harrods, Space NK etc). I wonder if they were all in a rush to release to beat the competition after Liberty and F&M showed their cards very early. They're released earlier and earlier, there are lots to choose from and they're not cheap, so many will only buy one 'luxury' £200+ calendar. Maybe the rush to get them out quickly caused a few errors in the backend.

I usually get quite excited about beauty a/c but I am just not that impressed this year. If there are any left/any BF discounts or GWP I might go for one at random.

Yes, it's pretty poor form. Poor CS from LF is not terribly surprising but you'd expect better from Space NK and Harrods. It's not so much the issues, it's the lack of communication and efforts to solve the problem that is the issue. All they would need to do is send out an email to explain the problem and keep people updated. Throw in a few samples as compensation, and most people would be perfectly satisfied.

I recently had an issue with a stationery order (1 pack of 3, instead of 3 packs of 3 sent out. An easy mistake for the picker to make at their busiest time of year). I contacted them. Within 15 minutes, the missing items were ordered and I got an email at each stage to update me on internal progress, with them dispatched within an hour. That's customer service. I tweeted praise and contacted the CS reps manager to compliment her service. I will continue to buy from them.

@Addictedtobeauty yeah it's on my account when I log in but it just says order status :NEW and then 'your order will be with you in 2-4 working days.

I'm going to call them tomorrow, they won't talk to me via email as I used my husbands bank card because I couldn't find mine so as rbe order is in his name he needs to talk to them so I'm going to pretend to be him tomorrow 🤣

They don't always tho - I sold an item of clothing that was size 12 and I said so - buyer gave negative feedback as it was "too small" wtf? I complained but eBay refused to delete it grrr.

Now I always include measurements of the clothes.

Some people 🤷‍♀️ I had a buyer purchase a single super king pillowcase, still wrapped,. Feedback; wanted two. 🙄 I’m not a bedding store you know!

Have thrown my lot in with SpaceNK. So far so good - I’ve had a confirmation email and they claim it will be available for dispatch on 11th October. We shall see!

SpaceNK arrived yesterday, was shocked how big it is. I'm not sure why, maybe as I had MAC last year and it's less than half the size.

Very happy though and by far the best calendar for me, there's a few things that I wont use and will sell, I've already bought some bits to replace those days and selling them will easily cover the cost.

I've relented after seeing an unboxing for the MAC advent and although many items feel similar to last year, and some are, the shades are more varied and some items I haven't used are included. There isn't much in the way of makeup in the SpaceNK, so I feel it will be a good pairing. Hopefully it goes down as low in price as it did last year.

If you like makeup you may want to check out the house of fraser advent box. It's got charlotte tilbury gloss, denona palette, mav lipliner and also some interesting fragrance. It's only £70 and probably half the size of an AC but pretty good value. I've got mine on pre-order.

@Giftwithpurchase Is it worth it, even with the discount? I like the look of it but it feels a bit spends for a small palette - have you tried it?

Personally the hourglass palettes are beautiful, however they need to do more work on the shade ranges in my opinion. Only one shade works for
Me the others are too light.

Ooh space NK are doing a 12 days fragrance again, just seen this ... not sure when it is released. But I'll be first in line when it does, the one last year was fab with some candles and larger sprays in there.

@Thelifeofawife it is very expensive I agree. I'm only going for one calendar this year (H&B) so can justify it but not sure any makeup item is worth £90 tbh 😂
The powders are stunning tho and I do notice the difference when I wear them. I'm pretty neutral in colouring so the dragon or evil eye could work for me but I went for dragon. I'll report back when it arrives. I'm also going to buy the dual ended brush direct from hourglass to get the deluxe samples they send 😃

This site isn't reliable unfortunately. The brands and price (and even discount) listed match last year's calendar, so I'd be suspicious that they've just pulled that through. Fingers crossed I'm wrong though as it did look good.

Space NK on pre sale again to ship in October.

Would love space nk fragrance but that's the last year one. I loved it

I asked customer services if they were doing a fragrance one but they were a bit rubbish and said they didn't know.
I have some space vouchers I was holding on to, but I'm tempted to spend them if nothing is definite.

They made a big fanfare about the beauty ac so I don't know why they wouldn't announce a fragrance one.

Yes, meieixhw, I had that e-mail a few days ago. I firmly (hope) believe that the calendars will be coming. They must have been absolutely hammered for them his year. I wonder if the contents will be as advertised or whether they've had to improvise?

My White Company calendar has arrived this morning.

I got the same email. I believe them that all orders will be fulfilled. They seem very convincing.

@IDontHateRainbows I had a quick look but I don't fancy most if the contents unfortunately. I've hinted to my husband about the MAC advent for my birthday as I need to top up my makeup supplies and MAC doesn't disappoint with quality. Charlotte Tilbury isn't bad either but their advent is only 12 days and I'm not keen on the contents.

Having said that it may be cheaper to just buy the bits I want but I'm a su ker for pretty packaging.
