Jumper

Anything except underwear. I try to wear everything at least 2-3 times before washing, it helps your clothes last longer.

Underlig · 13/07/2024 16:53

Everything except knickers and socks.

Frosty1000 · 13/07/2024 16:55

Yep everything except knickers and socks.

GrandHighPoohbah · 13/07/2024 16:55

I wear everything except socks and knickers for two to three wears. Jumpers and jeans more than that. I WFH, so am not on public transport etc much.

This.

It's not environmentally friendly to wash things that don't need washing and most fabric looks worse each time it's laundered. Most items will get two wears for me, items that don't actively touch the skin like cardigans or overshirts will be laundered less frequently.

missshilling · 13/07/2024 16:56

Another knickers and socks.

MonsteraMama · 13/07/2024 16:56

Most things tbh. I can't understand people who wash literally everything after a single wear, it's shit for both the clothes and the environment (and I bloody hate doing laundry, my mind is boggled by people on here doing multiple loads a day). The only things I always wash every wear is undies, socks, workout clothes. Everything else gets at least 2-3 wears.

Abra1t · 13/07/2024 16:58

This is an overwhelmingly sensible thread.

What’s gone wrong with MN?

Whatwouldnanado · 13/07/2024 16:58

Knickers. I have been known to wear socks for two days. Don’t have sweaty trotters or other conditions and I didn’t die.

NellyWest · 13/07/2024 16:59

It’s so dependant on how much childcare I’ve done that day and how much baby sick I’m covered in! But otherwise knickers and socks, gym gear gets a wash every wear too.

Me too. If your feet dont smell & you wear slippers indoors can't see why not.

CurlsnSunshinetime4tea · 13/07/2024 17:00

anything other than knickers and tops or pants that have food stains.

whyamisotiredallthetime · 13/07/2024 17:01

Same
Pants and socks

I wear a bra 2-3 days depending on activity and season and change out of all as soon as I get in from work

Cellotapedispenser · 13/07/2024 17:01

I cannot seem to eat without spilling food on my tops so they generally get worn once. Knickers, socks and any tops that come into contact with my underarms get worn once.

Everything else I'll wear until it's visibly dirty or noticeably smelly.

Too much washing in this house as there is.

Precipice · 13/07/2024 17:09

Anything that's not a first layer, so long-sleeve top, jumpers, coats etc. Trousers. Clothes I use for pyjamas.

I have worn tops and socks on occasion, but it doesn't feel nice, so not typical or a 'happily wear' item for me.

greengreyblue · 13/07/2024 17:10

All apart from knickers and socks.I wear bras for weeks unless it’s hot and sweaty. I have quite a few so they’re on rotation.

Precipice · 13/07/2024 17:10

Oh, and I rewear bras quite a lot of times. I don't wear them at home though.

Doggymummar · 13/07/2024 17:13

Pants excluded, everything that's still clean. I often wear a blouse or jumper, hang it up and wear it again a week or more later. I spot clean most things anyway as it's better for the environment. My trousers are all dryclean and they go as and when needed.

Chocolately · 13/07/2024 17:16

Knickers and socks here, too.
Though I was stood behind a woman in a queue yesterday who smelled as though she hadn't changed her clothes or had a shower so far this YEAR. 🤢 Blimmin rank.

Same here. I hardly ever wash wool jumpers and cardigans.

I use this on quite a lot of things. With dresses because I always wear a slip ,(see current thread) , which I wash after 1 wear, I sometimes gently hadwash around armpits only rather than washing the whole dress.

I’m not rewearing anything that smells by the end of the day, i.e. pants, socks or any tops worn under a jumper. If it hasn’t been a super hot day I might get away with rewearing summer tops and dresses which are cut so that they hang loose and don’t come into direct skin contact with my underarms.

KnickerlessParsons · 13/07/2024 18:26

Anything except knickers. I occasionally wear socks more than once if I've been wearing them to wfh.

fiorentina · 13/07/2024 18:33

Jumpers and maybe jeans. But nothing else.

Hibernatalie · 13/07/2024 18:34

Trousers, particularly jeans, bra, cardigan or jumper. No tops, knickers, socks or dresses. If it has come into contact with my armpits, feet or vagina basically.

Funderthighs · 13/07/2024 18:35

Anything except knickers is fair game.
