She looks lovely.

ThePoshUns · 05/07/2024 12:55

What

40somethingme · 05/07/2024 12:58

I agree she looked lovely this afternoon. She’s a very pretty woman.

StripedTomatoes · 05/07/2024 12:59

Good for her, stylish and reasonably priced. An NHS salary only stretches so far.

WhatWillIWear · 05/07/2024 13:01

More interested in Akshata Murty‘s dress.

Presumably now they’re out of Downing St she won’t have to dress down for the electorate as much as she has in the past.

Moonshine5 · 05/07/2024 13:02

@StripedTomatoes are you saying NHS workers shouldn't be able to wear or afford ME&EM?😂

She’s not a single woman, her husband is a multi multi millionaire. She can afford much more.

Her dress caught my eye too it is from here, the colour way she wears doesn't seem to be in stock anymore.

I really liked it as well. I've been trying to figure out who the designer is. Does anyone know?

Moonshine5 · 05/07/2024 13:04

@WhatWillIWear maybe that's what she chooses to wear.
Did you ever make similar comments about Sam Cam / Carrie Johnson?? 🤔wonder why

EasterIssland · 05/07/2024 13:05

Really nice dresses.

Oh goodness. She is a pretty woman, but that dress looks like the unfortunate result of a brief liaison between a zebra and an extra from an amateur production of The Sound Of Music.

WhatWillIWear · 05/07/2024 13:10

I didn’t intend any specific meanness, @Myblindsaredown- truly! I despise the Conservatives but my interest in clothes is entirely separate. I thought it was a recognised thing that she had tried not to wear anything too outrageously expensive as the PM’s wife? That won’t matter now.

Thanks @botemp - Google tells me that’s about £257.00.

@Moonshine5 - fuck, yes! You would not want to hear me on SamCam … (You picked the wrong person for that veiled insult …)

🤷🏾‍♀️

I think her dress yesterday at the polls was Boden

Because they weren't super wealthy non-doms, whose wealth and tax affairs had attracted considerable comment.

It was a comment on the cost of her clothes and the need to consider the optics.

Was there supposed to be a link/ screenshot?

Wot @JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon said.

Though I wouldn’t have enquired unless I actually liked it! Which I do.

I don’t think thr poster was asking you or have you name changed? Why would you answer on behalf of someone else?

Surely it’s the same for Victoria starmer, her husband is a Oxford educated multi millionaire, she’s a privately educated former lawyer who only went to the nhs after getting married, they are filthy rich

Nope not name changed but it is a discussion forum, anyone can join the conversation. It was pretty obvious what the comment meant.

Lady Victoria is a multi-millionaire.

dnac · 05/07/2024 13:27

I loved Akshatas style. I think she always nailed it. I’ll miss seeing that.

ohthejoys21 · 05/07/2024 13:27

I just feel so sorry for her.. I dont think she wanted this for herself (friend of a friend) and I can't think of anything worse than the scrutiny she'll have, like this thread for example! Poor woman didn't ask for it.
