Yes I know, I'm stupidly early, but I love a beauty advent calendar and I've just seen Liberty has stopped a sneak peek at their offering this year...

I think it looks like it has some good products and the price is the same as last year

I've ordered the Flannels beauty cracker. I'm waiting to see Selfridge's and Sephora and also the full CB reveal before deciding which to get. I like the SpaceNK one and will go for one other.

Oh my word I don’t know why I’m so infuriated but I typed in space nk to YouTube and space nks on channel popped up with an opening and I thought I would watch as maybe seeing the things would actually change my mind on it…. I genuinely don’t understand why space nk would post that. The two ladies hadn’t a clue about half the brands or what the items where the dark haired one said I love this then oh I’ve never actually tried it and that spf is especially important on Christmas and winter. They didn’t know skin rocks was CH brand and started off my saying it was from cleanse. Then talked about Lange or as if all they do is sleeping lip balms. Then didn’t know the medik8 was a HA serum just BIZZAR to me. I’m only a week in and had to put it off. X

I really like the look of Space NK. Lots of full sized products. I don’t particularly like candles so not put off by their absence. Would like a nice shower or bath product. Keen to see the Cult Beauty contents or have they already been revealed?

I’m not bothered about candles either, the Boy Smells one in the space nk calendar last year wasn’t very nice imo! For the same reason I’m not interested in fragrance either, I don’t mind if they’re included because I’ll always test them out but I’m really picky with fragrance in candles or perfume so I don’t seek out a calendar that contains them.

If my premium bonds came up, I’d get the diptyque one as I think that’s candles and fragrances. It was a few hundred last year.

I had Diptyque last year and really enjoyed it. I'll probably get Jo Malone or Jo Loves this year though I could be tempted by the Cult Beauty fragrance calendar.

Thankyou! I’ll see how the chemo goes but think I’m going to need a real non hair and skin based pick me up.

The candle in Space NK fragrance was not nice at all, so yes I prefer no candle than that!

I’m also keen on the Space NK calendar. Unless Vogue can seduce me once again

Space NK and Harrods so far seem to be in the lead IMO.

Just checked out Selfridges and I think it’s very weak. I hate Rose of No Man’s Land too. I really have lost my mojo, none of them are doing it for me this year.

I'm a bit disappointed in the Selfridges calendar too. I looked at some of the other advent calendars as well, and saw that Jo Loves only has 12 items this year and is an eye watering £375😮

That's insane about the Jo Loves calendar. I'm sure it was previously a regular 24/25 day calendar at around that price point.

Gutted I was hoping for a great Selfridges advent. I think SpaceNk has the lead this year for value and Harrods for the luxe market
Cult beauty is really annoying me with their drip feed marketing. It’s really turning me off even considering buying . Either tell me or don’t
Ok now hoping for a great John Lewis, Elle or bargain Latest in Beauty (although not sure I can face the TikTok stalking involved)

That jo loves calendar is lovely packagaing but it is overpriced, there's only 1 full size

I agree SpaceNK and Harrods seem the best of the bunch so far, and that at first glance Selfridges looks very disappointing when compared with last year.

@Growlybear83 that picture is for last year’s Jo Loves calendar. The picture I have seen for this year appears to have 24 drawers, but then the written details say 12 days - so the information out so far is somewhat contradictory.

I had a look back at last year’s thread and by 1 September last year most of the details of the calendars had been announced. So expecting more full reveals in the next week or so.

The mainJo Loves advent calendar last year was the round box with 24 drawers and several round Christmas decorations. They also did a smaller round 12 days of advent calendar as well. I've not seen the square box design before.

I went over the perfumes in Harvey Nichols fragrance and it's definetly a no for me.
One that I love and already have 100ml and 8ml
7 I have tried and I don't like
3 oud based and I don't care for oud
1 leather that I don't care for (more leather and oud in the 7 I have tried)
2 I am not interested at all
1 that is just ok
2 that are maybe, but for those 2 it is not worth buying advent. I may just try them in store!

Actually out of the 2 I said maybe one is tabacco based, so that would be a no for me.

From what I have seen so far Harrods Fragrance, Space NK Beauty and the Flannel fragrance crackers appeal most.

I don't think much of the Selfridges AC. I was lucky enough to get the 2022 one at half price and it was so much better.
I hope CB and John Lewis reveal their ACs very soon.
My favourites this year are Fortnum & Mason and Space NK. I would use everything bar 3 products in F&M. Space NK has more items I wouldn't use (but would sell), but has more items I'm excited about.

I've added Liberty and Space NK to my spreadsheet. Liberty has a yeh to meh ratio of 2.5 while Space NK's is only 1.6. There is too much make up for me in Space NK. Given the high price point of these, I am taking size of the items in to account in my rating.

Mind you, I'm not familiar with the perfumes in Liberty so while I have them down as OK, which puts them in the yeh category, I could be disappointed with them.

Selfridges is a no for me too. I'm relieved as it makes my decision making easier! It's mostly small sizes which doesn't make it seem like good value for money.

I also got the 2022 Selfridges calendar half price, and while I was happy with it for that price, I would never have paid the full price for it as it was mostly tiny items. Last year's was great though.
