Beauty advent calendars 2024

Yes I know, I'm stupidly early, but I love a beauty advent calendar and I've just seen Liberty has stopped a sneak peek at their offering this year...

And Augustinus Bader has a calendar this year, only 12 items and a huge £445.

I'm not impressed by the HN AC. Far too many small & non exciting items for me. The fragrance one looks nice, but not enough to tempt me.

Including a 3ml eye cream and two 7ml serums. They are spoiling us!

It may be that I don't actually buy an AC this year. I know! I am trying to save some money as DS needs surgery which is probably going to have to be private and will be £££. Seems mad to spend £250 on an AC.

I just spent an enjoyable 20 mins filling the drawers of my lovely lovely F&M box from a couple of years ago - using (for example) the lippy from last year's Liberty AC, a couple of RP fragrances and lots of other yummy items from my stash. Which btw now looks a lot better lol!

Still tho...

Btw I had Cult 51 day and night cream in the F&M a few years ago (the box I kept!) and I loved one but not the other. Can't recall which tho - helpful eh @Twinsandsome

Harvey nichols perfume- I have tried 9 and only like one of them and already have it. Disappointed by the selection. I am not interested in the beaury advent either

also looked at the Space NK unboxing with Ree (really like her if you pardon the pun) but thought the contents were rubbish compared to last years calendar.

Just goes to show we're all looking for different things, as last year's didn't tempt me at all.

@virgocatlover thanks for sharing, I have to say I think Harvey Nichols is the most disappointing beauty calendar yet? Quite a few fragrances though so it might be tempting if that's what you're into. And nice that they're doing a fragrance calendar too. I have about 10 fragrances I'm trying to get through and it rakes me ages to use them up, so not for me.

I opened of the AB creams from my stash and it stinks. Definitely gone off. I won’t be buying an AC with one in again. I wasn’t that keen to get it anyway but I expected it to be still useable a few months later.

@TracyBeakerSoYeah and @Minnie123456 ypu are both on for a treat. The Liberty box is so beautiful. Last year I felt spoiled just looking at it (and do think the contents are good too). Enjoy.

I haven't gone through Space NK yet, but Liberty have definitely classed things as full size that are travel or delux size. The logic seems to be if you can but the size, they class it as full size so I double check the sizes.

I'm quite excited about the HN fragrance calendar. The Diptyque calendar looks interesting, but there are far too many candles for me at that price.

Just ordered Liberty for grand total of £90. Used up my BD credit and a £10 loyalty voucher.
Really hope I don't miss out on the Harvey Nichols two.

At least 20 products in Space NK are definitely full size, and about 5 more are decent travel sizes. The Sisley products are the only sort of 'deluxe sample' sizes. I agree that it's pretty generous this year.

Agree about the candles…it was on my list of potentials, not now. I was hoping for more body products.

Neither of the HN appeal to me.

The fragrance looks good, but I’m getting a bit too large of a collection for even me to cope with 😁

I like Bader but the bader advent calendar doesn’t seem value for money? Also two lip balms over some of the products they haven’t selected? Wld love to know how that sells

is there anything I am missing? We don't have details for Space NK yet? Anything else I should keep an eye for?

Ohhh the Space NK looks great, apart from red and brown (brown?!) lipsticks.

In total last year, I spent £290 on 4 ACs...Space NK is £250...

M and S was fab last year (except for the naff bag) and very reasonable and I do have some birthday money.....

I got space nk last year after a couple of years with none while I was working my way through what I had. I’ve hardly bought anything this year (probably not true, I’ve definitely bought a few things I can remember and possibly more!) because I’ve been working my through the calendar stuff. Discovered some really good things and will probably get it again this year. Most of the repeats I’ve had before I’ll use because I liked them and there are quite a few things I haven’t tried before but would like to.

Don't forget about Jo Malone and Jo Loves!

SpaceNK looks good, though I really don't rate that Medik8 B5 serum - not surprised they are giving it away! So many full sized products - I'm quite tempted.

I had Jo Malone last year, I have few favourites from it but I don't think I would buy it again. I think they are fab way to discover a brand, but once you had it and you know how much you like/not like it is harder then commit. It was same actually with By Terry and Body Shop advent, mixed brand is more fun.

I would keep an eye for a good deal on Jo Loves and see if there are many I do not know

I'll be going for Space NK this year after a couple of years without to use up what I already had. I don't want any more candles or perfume and I prefer skincare, plus there are several products I already buy.

I haven't tried the AB serum so am looking forward to that as I really liked the face oil. It's only the rich cream that was hopeless (unfortunately that's the one that turns up in everything).

I wish CB would release details of their ‘Scent with Love’ AC so we can compare it to the HN fragrance one.
