Beauty advent calendars 2024

Yes I know, I'm stupidly early, but I love a beauty advent calendar and I've just seen Liberty has stopped a sneak peek at their offering this year...

Hmm. Not so sure on Space NK. It has that awful chocolate lip mask again. I'm not keen on the makeup in it. And the AB and Sunday Riley that turn up everywhere.

Are you sure that you aren't looking at last year's contents?

I don't think that it has the chocolate sleep mask? It has AB but it's the serum for a change, rather than the dreaded rich cream...

Twinsandsome · 20/08/2024 22:19

BIossomtoes · 20/08/2024 19:46

I didn’t know that and am seriously excited by it. Can you choose the texture and density of pigmentation? It sounds wonderful.

My holy grails are Filorga Time Filler eye cream, Sisley Black Rose Oil, Eucerin Hyaluron serum and Elastin cream and Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum @Twinsandsome. I always use Suqqu primer after getting it in a BD box and Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara. I can’t see ever changing from those products.

Thanks @blossomtoes I love hearing others holy grails and the Eucerin I have had sitting in a basket to checkout for ages so this has pushed me x

Squishmymallow · 20/08/2024 22:30

I also like the look of space NK! There’s at least 6 products in there that I buy/use regularly so the value for money would be there since I’d buy those anyway. Also lots I’m keen to try but might not otherwise buy like the tatcha serum, AB serum and the chantecaille blush. Definitely a contender!

I think your right. I followed the link on the previous page and clicked on the instagram post and it looks like it brought me to last year's one. Really weird as it bringing me to the correct one now.

GentlemanJack · 21/08/2024 01:49

Space NK looks fab. I wish there was a candle though. Don't like the boxes.

pinkchampagne1 · 21/08/2024 08:10

Where can you see the Space NK unboxing?

pinkchampagne1 · 21/08/2024 08:37

Ah, just found the link. It looks quite good

VibeOnWithMyGalPals · 21/08/2024 10:38

Does anyone know when Space NK is available to order?

I’d love to see Look Fantastic and Boots calendars first, but I’m worried Space NK would then sell out.

I wasn’t too bothered about Space NK last year. I waited and waited to see if it would be discounted, and as far as I can remember, it wasn’t, so I didn’t get it.

Btw, you can slide through each drawer on the website now and it gives good closeups of each product

JudgeBurrito · 21/08/2024 10:58

@VibeOnWithMyGalPals I read somewhere 12th September. I think it's probably likely to sell better this year, but at £250 I don't expect it to sell out straight away. Who can tell though? We don't know how many they've made.

Great. Thank you Smile

I think they did a 15% discount and early access the year I bought it. I think it was about 3 years ago.

AprilLady · 21/08/2024 11:57

@VibeOnWithMyGalPals just to note. The Space NK website reveals show the full size product - but that may not be what is in the calendar. For example, the Sisley black rose mask in the calendar is 10ml, not the full size £140 mask shown. Still a really good way to see exactly what products are in the calendar. I also think it looks pretty good.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 21/08/2024 12:04

Well spotted @AprilLady I was thinking they all looked very generous.

Twinsandsome · 21/08/2024 14:38

Not wowed by space nk and can’t believe they don’t have a candle in it. Anyone with any experience of cult 51, what’s it like and have you used any of the cult 51 from F&M as that brand is big in that calendar and I’m swaying that way at the minute x

CocoMascara · 21/08/2024 14:44

@Twinsandsome I had F&M last year, it had Cult 51 day cream and oxygen mask in - I loved them both, particularly the mask. I haven’t repurchased due to cost, but glad I tried them. Actually loved the whole calendar last year except from the AA shower oils which I’m a bit fed up with…

JudgeBurrito · 21/08/2024 14:59

@Twinsandsome I don't particularly like Cult 51 products, I've had them a few times. The oxygen mask last year is nice, but I don't get on with the creams. Too heavy for me personally. But lots of people love them.

MidnightMeltdown · 21/08/2024 15:54

I also find Cult 51 creams too heavy and greasy, but I'd like to try their serums. I haven't tried anything from the brand other than the creams.

VibeOnWithMyGalPals · 21/08/2024 16:47

@AprilLady Thanks for pointing that out, but 23 of the products are actually full sized, which I think is pretty generous

Fedupandstressed · 21/08/2024 17:03

I'm waiting for the Boots Premium one. I think it was £99 last year and it was fantastically value. Very make up heavy, which is my thing.

Do you know when the contents of that one will be revealed?

MiaN · 21/08/2024 18:03

Space Nk does have full skincare routine. I have used and like the full size DE cream, the cream cleanser, the cleansing balm, bha serum and the two spfs, I like one more then the other. I think the B5 and the Vit C serums would be great to try and the two 10ml masks are great. Tatcha serum for bit of a lux. I just have enough and I don't want to have too many products in the same time but imo it's good selection of skincare. At least 4 of the product I either had or have and purchased myself

Minnie123456 · 21/08/2024 18:08

I had the h&b calendar last year, it was my first ever ac. It was quite good although there was 2 or 3 essential oils in it that I probably won't use.
I have ordered the liberty calendar this year as it "only" cost me £4 as I had a lot of beauty drop saved up.

Therightcoffee · 21/08/2024 19:31

I had cult51 in f&m the last few years, all products were great, definitely a big appeal. If you like AA, Bramley, wildsmith and cult51 it’s solid.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 21/08/2024 19:32

I've just ordered the Liberty advent calendar & after using all my Beauty Drop vouchers it only cost me £20 in 'real' money.
DD1 was laughing at my 'girl maths' 😂, though I did correct her & say you mean 'boy & girl maths!'

Its my first Liberty beauty advent & my first expensive calendar as I usually get the M&S one.

I also looked at the Space NK unboxing with Ree (really like her if you pardon the pun) but thought the contents were rubbish compared to last years calendar.

Looking forward to the full content reveal of Look Fantastic & also JL & M&S too.

virgocatlover · 21/08/2024 19:37

Harvey Nichols has both a fragrance and a beauty calendar this year
