Ok they’re bloody hideous. And I’m in my 60s so way over the stage where they’re cute. But I have arthritis, no suitable sandals are comfortable. I have Teva classics which are great but only on a solid surface as gravel, sand gets inside and blisters my feet. I’m going to Cornwall. I need something comfortable and good for on the beach. I’m not happy about this choice but unless anyone can come up with a comfortable and less hideous option, I’m doomed.

I've just got a pair too, my feet are wrecked from ligament damage. I haven't wore them out yet, and probably never will 😄 but they do help my sore feet.

I got some earlier in the year, never going back. Ashamed of myself for mocking them for years.

The arch support is amazing, you can put them in sport mode by putting the strap down or just have them as slip ones, you can walk over those crossings for visually impaired people and not feel a thing or step on giant stones.
They are so comfortable, I wear them to work and back, on my feet for 14 hours, my feet can actually breathe. If they get dirty you just wipe them with a baby wipe.

I’ve had them for years …. Love them

They go in the washing machine too ….come out good as new

Funkyfizz · 22/06/2024 20:33

Love mine. I have no shame in wearing them out and about. They are the most comfortable work shoes I've ever had.

Hibernatalie · 22/06/2024 20:34

I'm sold - what colour did everyone go for?

Lovemusic82 · 22/06/2024 20:35

I have crocs (several pairs) but I have found cheaper foam slidders from Shein that are even more comfortable.

I thought about that but don't want to damage my washing machine

Willmafrockfit · 22/06/2024 20:39

i have navy ones but they seem to smell, even though they are proper crocs
my footwear of choice is my green crocs, i doubt they are genuine but i love them

PCController2 · 22/06/2024 20:39

Terrible, terrible things. Mine are bright yellow. They make me smile.

Willmafrockfit · 22/06/2024 20:42

what sort of wash do you put them in?

Beautifulbythebay · 22/06/2024 20:42

🤔eh? I do regular shoe washes…..trainers, crocs, flip flops, converse….I’ve even machine washed my wellies….thought all washing machines had a she wash cycle?

They definitely won't damage your washing machine.

But don't wash on a hot wash as they shrink!

(You can also wash them in the dishwasher but again, watch the temperature!!)

Kitkat1523 · 22/06/2024 20:43

Willmafrockfit · 22/06/2024 20:42

what sort of wash do you put them in?

It’s a wash suitable for footwear….so no big spin ….takes 30 mins….quite gentle….I have a hot point

DayIntarnishedarmour · 22/06/2024 20:44

Well I feel so much better about this now I know I’m not alone. I’m off to town on Monday and am going for it. I shall wear them conviction and no shame. I have an ancient pair of brown ones (from when they first came on the market ) that I only wear indoors and there is no tread left on them now but they are so comfy. Thank you everyone. Here’s to comfort

Wontletmeusemynormalname · 22/06/2024 20:44

My dh used to wear them when we met 15yrs ago, I despised them.

They are now very in with my teens as "house/chill/pool" shoes. I want fur lined ones 😄

Artichokepiglet · 22/06/2024 20:44

I have the Dylan Crocs in leather-look brown, they've gotten a lot of compliments and don't look quite as Croc-y.

Kitkat1523 · 22/06/2024 20:45

My niece wore sparkly crocs for her wedding……you wouldn’t have known it as she was a classic bride otherwise….just when she lifted her dress to show them off for the photos!

Willmafrockfit · 22/06/2024 20:46

very tempted with a yellow pair

DayIntarnishedarmour · 22/06/2024 20:47

Artichokepiglet. I see what you mean but I need the heel strap

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 22/06/2024 20:50

I have lined ones for winter and a couple of pairs of their sandals which actually look remarkably un-croc-like while maintaining the comfort.

Hibernatalie · 22/06/2024 20:58

I've gone for bright yellow and got a few of those jibbitz from Vinted for my kids' ones. No shame.
I'm getting the lined ones in winter.

BiffandChip1 · 22/06/2024 21:00

I have pink ones and I ADORE them. Wear them everywhere. With Nike sports socks the comfort is just 👑👑👑👑
