New look have a really good range of wide fit shoes. As do next. Sure I’ve seen some nice black chunky ones in both of them. I also have wide feet and I feel your pain!

igivein · 31/05/2024 15:12

Interested in responses too

Definitelylivedin · 31/05/2024 15:15

Well that photo is useful isn't it!

WhyamInotvomiting · 31/05/2024 15:16

Tevas

WorriedRelative · 31/05/2024 15:24

Doc Martens

Nice and wide and supportive. Also stylish.

Some styles need a bit of wear to soften the leather but the soles are brilliant.

UsernameRedacted · 31/05/2024 15:26

Dune do wide fit, also M&S

ghettihead · 31/05/2024 15:28

Moshulu are good for wide feet.

LizzieBennett73 · 31/05/2024 15:32

I've got a pair of Hotter Tourist sandals which are seriously comfy, and not too frumpy. I wear these to work and am fine all day in them

And I've just bought these, i normally avoid Skechers as they're not supportive enough but these are really nice as well.

My go to are Hotter tourist sandals, cheap(ish) and oh so comfortable. Also Calla and sole bliss have some pretty stylish sandals for wide feet but a bit more pricey.

Moshulu are good for wide feet.

I got a pair of Moshulu sandals last year - they're a good width and have nice soft soles and excellent grip.

I still have to stick plasters on underneath the straps, but that's just my skin, any straps rub it raw.

crispsnotchocolate · 31/05/2024 15:49

Air and Grace Gala. Not cheap but they are the comfiest sandals I have ever owned.

ErnestCelendine · 31/05/2024 15:52

Fitflop gracie - not marketed as wide, but fit me better than any wide fit sandal I've tried so far! I have the ones with two straps and an ankle strap, and sized up. They go up to size 9 / 43.

CJ0374 · 31/05/2024 15:56

Watching with interest for my hobbit wide feet! 😆

lljkk · 31/05/2024 16:01

What do you use them for, OP?
Some of the ones linked to here, I would not walk far in.
I am wondering what an "old lady" sandal is.

I love Merrells (pic). I may buy mens to get wider toe box. Nothing else compares for comfort, and I can walk in them long distances over rough ground (helps that I'm < 70 kg). But they are awful in rain or for cycling. Not cheap & previously MNers called them Fugly.

My last effort to wear Birkenstocks was decades ago: stiff & uncomfy.

Salt water sandals, really are the holy grail. Extremely comfy, and perfect for wide feet

Colinorpercy · 31/05/2024 17:02

Oh yes I like my saltwater sandals too actually! Can dress them up or down as well. And to be honest I could walk miles in my Havaianas flip flops too

Absurdgiraffe · 31/05/2024 18:15

These are very comfy:

I bought a pair of moshulu sandals but they weren't wide fit at all. And they now bombard me with physical catalogues and junk mail despite me ticking the 'do not ever contact me' box.

Clarks and Next do some nice styles in wide fit.

delilabell · 31/05/2024 18:25

I agree with hotter tourist. Mine are so comfortable x

TheRomanticOutlaw · 31/05/2024 18:52

I second Merrell if you like something casual and sporty, I have their Terran Lattice II and Terran Lattice 3 sandals which are amazingly comfy without being clumpy. Not cheap but you can get them for around £45 if you shop around online.
DMs are awesome, I've got a pair of their loafer shoes which aren't classed as Wide Fit but are perfect for me. Their sandal styles are very popular right now, I see lots of people wearing that distinctive 'clumpy gladiator' type style.

Abitorangelooking · 31/05/2024 18:53

I got some nice leather flat sandals from the art company.

WappityWabbit · 31/05/2024 19:28

Waldlaufer and Gabor are good for wide feet.

WappityWabbit · 31/05/2024 19:31

The other brand I often buy is Allegria.
I like comfort and colour. Independent shoe shops are usually best for buying decent shoes.
