its an evening wedding reception at a hotel described as ‘opulent’ haha! I’m usually quite colourful, Farm Rio / vintage kind of vibe. Really struggling as everything is backless! I can cope with a little bit showing like a sliver. Could I ask your opinion? I’ve a few DVF wrap dresses that I picked up over the years and two of these I still love and wear a few times a year (even tho they are 10+ years old).
I really love their chain link dress (blk-white) and was considering investing, but I feel the price has really gone up and they aren’t worth it (I think I bought mine around €300 but they’re double that now). Wrap styles do suit me; are there any good brands you’ve come across that are good quality for printed wraps?
(size 10 -12 and fair; mid 40s). Thank you! And sorry for coming back again but your advice is incredible!!!

@Peaceandquietandacuppa that would look stunning with the black blazer as you described. It is a real standout statement piece and a good reduction from the original price. Do you think it is something you would wear again? I also like this Farm Rio one. Obviously not as dressy but the sleeves and cut out elevate it so that you could wear for an occasion

@DressDilemma some workwear dress ideas. Obviously I don't know your specifics but these styles all help to balance out an apple shape with a fuller skirt and defined shoulder and the tie waist draws the waist in and makes the waist the narrowest part of the silhouette. Often the tendency with an apple is to disguise the upper body and draw attention to the slimmer areas and go narrower on the bottom half/ looser on the top but you want to define the shoulders and add volume to the bottom half to balance out the proportions

Just in case it got missed @frillseeking, could you tell me where I can get some of the trousers on these boards? I particularly like the trousers on the top row of both boards & the horizontal stripe ones.

You helped me with the Boden voucher last weekend - although the dress I picked is actually on its way back and I need to rethink!
I decided I already have more flattering dresses in my wardrobe.
My Dd described it as 80% good and 20% 'giving curtain vibes' she was right and I think as you said the prints can be a bit too bold.

Anyway now I am looking for inspiration as to what you would wear to style this Albaray tank Jumpsuit I already own?

Hi @frillseeking can I jump on here with a request please? I’ve been searching for months and am running out of time. It’s for the Taylor Swift concert at Wembley stadium. I’d really like to dress up, full on sequins, fringing etc but I’m pretty set on wearing jeans as there will be a lot of hanging around/sitting on the pitch etc. so jeans and trainers and I need a fabulous top. End of June so could be boiling and could be pouring. Don’t really want to do double denim so a jacket is also a necessity. Would like something sleeveless but sparkly and stylish with someone over it for weather.. I’m mid 50s, size 10-12. Budget £150 all in. Not looking for a ‘basic’ sequin tank top, and no midriff showing (& need to be able to wear bra)! I did buy a fabulous pink puffy top but am worried as it has puffy sleeves and is polyester and could get very hot. Am looking for pinks/blues/golds rather than the folklore/reputation era. Thank you! X

It fits really well, the petite is the right length could it be a bit too pink?
