Fat girl summer - let's slay 💅

So, for those of us who are chunky yet funky, what's the plan ladies?

Shall we give no fucks and wear nice comfy summery clothes or do we worry about keeping every inch of us covered head to toe in black until we sweat so hard we melt? What's the plan?

Currently a size 20/22 myself, unlikely to get down to a magical size 14 by July so I'm looking at the nice comfy looking linen pants, few maxi dresses, shorts because I'm a wee chubby pale rebel and to really go wild a jumpsuit or two.

Simply be has some lovely things at the moment including shoes, asos curve is looking alright and vinted is my best pal.

I'm 35 for a few more months and don't want to have another summer in my 30s hating my body, so this year I'm going to embrace it. Anyone with me?

Boiling hot on holiday here today, so I'm going all out on the colour 😁 Just had to post this here - my children will probably roll their eyes, but the trousers and top are both lovely light cotton - and I'm going to say it's a deliberate colour clash...!

Am experimenting with one side of the top tucked in a bit, as it's just a bit too long so am hoping the side tuck at least pretends to give me some shape...

Completed our charity walk yesterday. It was so hot 🥵 Had my gym gear on though so was okay.

Dear thread of sanity, forgive me for i have sinned and bought two more vinted Hellbunny bargain dresses 😬

I'm mega stressed out at an appointment tomorrow and just well, you know.

Does everyone know how to search well on vinted?

Someone taught this to me and it's a game changer.

Do your search by clicking through the menu - click the search icon, then click through women /clothing/dresses/ then type in the brand you like if you have one. Mine says "Hellbunny 16 18 xxl". Click search.

Then, click on the search bar again and you will see your search criteria in the drop down. Theres a little box to the right you click and it saves your search. This means in future you can easily find the search by dropping down into that box.

After searching, At the top right, Under "Sort by", I've my Search set to "newest first", but you can change that and select cheapest first. It's a great way to find complete bargains (like hellbunny dresses for under 10quid or whatever your brand is!!)

I find people seem to label sizes incorrectly so I'll only buy if I can see the label, or if the seller confirms the size after I message to check.

@TruthThatsHardAsSteel I think the pale blue. But I only tried them on quickly in between meetings - haven’t even looked in the mirror yet. But I love the quirkiness of the mid-blue. Agonising decision to make!

Am so glad I had my colours done a few years ago. It’s not foolproof but I look so much better in colours that suit me and it makes shopping quicker and marginally less painful.

It's misty here today and not as warm, so I'm in blue colours today - no bulls to be enraged, nor sons to be horrified!

My 20L combats came and I wore them yesterday with the trainers in the middle pic, the t shirt and my cat hoody. Much prefer the fit of these. Love.

Ohhh a new vinted dress arrived and I love it. I think it needs layers - waistcoat (I've 2), maybe a t shirt 🤔.

They have some other colours and patterns. It’s so lovely on and so light and comfy. I’ve ordered a size down as well so when I’ve decided which I prefer, I’ll post a picture.

I wore my Manners dress last weekend and got a few compliments!

I'm planning to sew this dress. I think it will be lovely in the fabric I've got, an embroidered linen.
