Please help me find a wow dress for a destination wedding

I am going to a wedding In Cyprus in June and looking for some suggestions on a dress. I have over the past 8 months lost 6 stone and hoping to lose another stone by the time the wedding comes around. I'm looking for a wow dress! There will be people there that I haven't seen since the weight loss and I want to make a great impression.
I'm open to all suggestions, however I need to have sleeves to cover the top of my arms. I don't want to wear any cover up so would definitely need a dress with sleeves.
Budget around £100. Cant be yellow as this is the bridesmaids colour. I'm not keen on all the floral prints that are around at the moment. Would like it slightly fitted on the top as I am a pear shape with a small waist and wider hips. Blonde hair and in my early 40s.
Thanks

I like the last colour way in this. Very suitable, and cotton, though above budget.

Love the plain colour but why do so many dresses have patterns reminiscent of curtains from the 60's? The bigger pattern, the bigger the wearer looks. OP has lost loads of weight, she should be showing this off.

It’s a nice dress but way overpriced.,

What about this one from Jolie Moi? There's no fabric info given though.

It’s quite nice. You can also find similar dresses on the much maligned Roman website!

ghislaine · 25/04/2024 16:47

Ha ha! That did cross my mind when I posted!

Edited for typo.

Or with a skirt, I love this

Some of these are way off what the OP asked for! This dress is very dull and ordinary and not what the OP is looking for at all!

Agiftandacurse · 27/04/2024 15:13

I am tall and slim and would look fab wearing to a wedding with the right accessories- most of the other links wouldn’t suit me personally. So it does partly depend on the OP!

however I also would no way have my arms covered or wear synthetic fabric in the heat!!

Oh you are funny @Bignanna. Can't get past Roman can you :)

That's a gorgeous classy, stylish dress from Mint Velvet.

Good god, that's horrendous. A leftover from the 70s.

DailyEnergyCrisis · 27/04/2024 15:18

I’ve just realised I also intended to post the mint velvet one with the one I posted earlier- then saw the convo about it 😆 I think it’s lovely. Link still in my open message box that I forgot to press post on.

I dunno. I could go for an Abigail’s Party vibe at a beach wedding.

It’s ordinary, dull and not special enough for the occasion imo

I look for clothes on many sites, next, coast, Debenhams, JJ’s etc but I do think Roman is unjustly criticised and certainly has as good as and better offerings than the ones you and others suggested!

I don't think that Mint Velvet dress or the JolieMoi one is any more appealing than Roman. The JolieMoi one is particularly unappealing but it's a tough contest.

It's all subjective but I couldn't imagine wearing anything from any of those brands.

I don't understand why Mint Velvet gets mentioned so often on MN. On the high street Anthropologie, Whistles, Me+Em &Other Stories have more interesting clothes.

I’m not here for a fight about a dress for a wedding. I’ve offered no negative comments on anyone else’s choices- try being less rude.

Congrats on the weight loss!
This is very much a marmite brand
