Anyone not bother to get nails done for holidays?

Does anyone else not bother with nails etc for their holidays?
It's usually a standard thing but costs are up!

Very rare I have. I was going to last time for holiday but I was waiting over an hour after my appointment time, so I just left the salon. Was too late to go anywhere else
It didn't make a difference to my holiday at all !

I'm another never ever had my nails done.

Nope.

My feet are clean and I cut my nails with clippers. If my heels get rough - I moisturise.

I have never varnished them ever.

I type and my nails just shred. No point in doing anything with them, other than cleaning them, and that's negotiable depending on the type of holiday.

Nope and I don't even bother painting them myself either, I like the look of natural nails..

I do like to get my toes painted though because my feet are ugly 🤣 but it wouldn't be a necessity if i was on a budget.

Never had them done, never mind for a holiday. I hate my hands and don’t want attention on them.

However l have nice feet and just paint my own.

I would take extra care of my feet running up to a sun based holiday and do my own polish/mini pedicure. I might give myself a manicure and clear varnish but never get my nails professionally done - too expensive; don’t love the look.

😂no! It was a swanky hotel in Caribbean where I had little to do but look at toenails.

Never, but 'holiday nails' are a real thing where I live.

Always toe nails because I cannot do my own !

Are you talking about those ludicrous gel plastic things that get stuck onto your fingers? If so, absolutely never. They look horrific. If you are talking about a bit of nail varnish applied by either myself or someone more skilled then I have been known to.

Of course!! Although i do my own gel nails now.

I've never done it. I go on holiday to relax, not to fuss over my appearance.

I've never had them done for a holiday, or any other time unless I had a gun to my head for bridesmaid duties.

I’m shocked by all these responses, I always get my nails done before a holiday, thought it was just a done thing but obviously just in mine and OP’s friendship groups haha.

Never ever had my nails done. I do paint them myself for holidays or nights out, but I work for the NHS, so they have to be short and unpainted, so I don't see the point

I use nail wraps weekly so just put on a new design before i go away

How is asking a factual question lighthearted?

Its obvious that getting your nails done isn't a universal thing, what answers did you expect?

Nope, never had my nails done to go on holiday. Unless you count the time I painted my nails blue and white for an international at Murrayfield. #BraveheartManicure

I've had my nails done once. It was a pedicure, about 5 years ago. I did not enjoy the experience of someone fiddling with my feet for 2 hours so doubt I'll repeat it.

No one has ever noticed or commented on my lack of "done" nails, hands or feet, to my knowledge. It's not something I could ever give a thought to. I never notice anyone else's nails unless they are overgrown and minging, or false.

I'm another 'never'. Where I spend the money is on decent handcreams and oils. If you use a glass nail file and apply cuticle butter or oil daily then you don't have to worry about getting cuticles taken care of. They stay soft, are easy to push back, and as good as take care of themselves.

I tend not to bother with polish for holidays, as this means carrying extra bottles and remover and I try to take any measures necessary to keep luggage weight down. My washbag is always overstuffed as it is.

I'm never without a nail brush, though. I hate the way they have a habit of getting dirty when travelling long distances!

No, never get them done for holidays. Never do nail polish myself either. I'm happy with how my nails look, just as they are 😀. So probably not the best person to ask!
