Anyone not bother to get nails done for holidays?

Does anyone else not bother with nails etc for their holidays?
It's usually a standard thing but costs are up!

Toes - yes, always.

Fingers - never. They don't last and gel stuff trashed my nails.

I don't think I'd even notice on holiday if someone had their nails done or not tbh

Got them done sometimes until I thought about how it's just putting plastic on your nails and then it goes in the bin after- doesn't have the same special treat feeling now 😝

Lots do but not me, have painted my own for a good 10 years now, so quick using a seche vite top coat. Don’t bother for going on holiday though, I’m even more laid back about my appearance on holiday than I am at home 😂 certainly don’t bother getting my hair done, I’m bombing in the pool left right and centre, would absolutely destroy colour.
Have never fake tanned in my life (though always have natural tan colouring!).

I was on holiday in March and can honestly say I didn’t see any woman without their nails done.

I do my own gels/press ons anyway, so it's not for holiday, I would probably choose a more neutral set though.

I've never had my nails done and never will. The chemicals used in that shit are horrible.

I never done them for a holiday. I do them only occasionally but never for the holiday. I will need to take all removal stuff with me as I’m prone to chipping.

Main way I prep for a holiday is to give the tent a good airing.

unlike most people here, holidays are one of the few times I actually do get my nails done. Normally gel because I can’t stand varnish chipping after 12 hours and looking shit but I don’t think I’m going to bother now. Partly because gel wrecks my own nails and the cost doesn’t seem worth it. Think nicely shaped with maybe a clear varnish will be my default now

No from me as well. Don’t see the point.

I have never had my nails done , paint my own toe nails if I'm going to be in sandals flip flops etc .

I get mine done every 3 weeks and toes throughout the summer every 6 weeks (or for warm winter breaks) my choice

Never get my nails done and actually dislike being served food by people with dark polish on their nails as I wonder how they can tell there’s no dirt there.

I hope you all at least look after your feet, nothing worse than uncared for hoofs in flip flops, toenails look infinitely better with nail varnish. Bare, buffed fingernails are lovely, though.

How can anyone be shocked that others don't get their nails done. Surely you've noticed that not everyone has perfectly manicured nails?!

I do get mine done from time to time, but it has never once occurred to me that it's "the done thing". As far as I'm concerned, it's just a nice treat that I allow myself to enjoy sometimes.

No, I don't have my nails done professionally. I do paint them myself occasionally.

I would probably paint my toenails if I was going on a beach hol but not routinely before any holiday.

I paint my own nails fresh for holiday. I am a qualified nail technician, but now do a different job. That stuff ruins your nails and I stay welllll away.

I hate all that gel and Shellac crap so I never bother with finger nails unless I can be bothered to do them myself, but yes I occasionally get a pedicure in the summer and usually keep toe nails painted throughout. I wouldn’t necessarily do it before a holiday but I will probably get one when the weather starts warming up and open toed shoes are a possibility.
