Anyone not bother to get nails done for holidays?

Does anyone else not bother with nails etc for their holidays?
It's usually a standard thing but costs are up!

Had mine done once in about 1992....

I've never had mine done and it honestl wouldn't occur to me.

I get mine finger nails done monthly anyway. Not specific to a holiday as such. I wouldn't bother to make sure they were fresh for a holiday. I got my toes last done in October. I'm about to cut off the last remaining colour from my big toes. All the rest has been grown out and cut off.

I’m in my forties and have never had my nails done either. Occasionally put a bit of nail varnish on myself. Will paint my toes in a bright colour for summer. Hate the idea of the gel thing you need to chisel off with special chemicals.

A done thing?
Gosh l go on holiday 6 to 8 times a year..
It might be a done thing for young people.
My eldest daughter does but she's a nail technician..
So even l could get mine done free.. but l just paint my toe nails to look better in sandals .

No. No treatments or polish.
I have horribly dry painful skin on my feet from psoriasis.
I don't care what anyone else is doing. I'm not putting anything additional into my feet which could lead to the, feeling worse.

If my sore feet offend you, just don’t look.

Generally yes, but I think I'm just going to go back to painting my own. They don't look much different and nobody else notices!

I get my nails done every 3 weeks or so with a gel polish manicure, so I’d more than likely time then to be done just before I go away since it’s in my routine. Toes I only get done every 3-4 months as my toenails seem to grow very very slowly, but I’d definitely get a pedicure done before holiday

I get my nails done very occasionally, I wouldn't before going on holiday.

I do my own. I have an LED lamp. It's dead easy! And yes I do for holidays. Toes are just pale pink normal polish though.

I dye my hair silly colours but apart from that, have never had anything beauty treatment done. No waxing, plucking, threading, nails, massages, facials. None of it.

I don’t. I’ll give them a tidy at home and then take cuticle oil/ nice hand cream with me so when I come back from not doing dishes / working all day my hands are lovely.

I don't. I feel gel nails are a bit tacky now but maybe that's just me. I got them done a few years ago before I went on holiday and one of the nails popped off when I was in the pool on the second day. Was really annoying! Now I just do my own nails and take the bottle of varnish with me for any top ups.

No, I don't bother with painting my toenails either. I don't think toenails look better with polish. I suppose there must be people fleeing in horror from my toes, but apart from MN posts, nobody seems to care.

I've never 'had my nails done' for any reason. I can file and, if I want, paint them myself.

people with the same opinion as me are not going to tell you irl.

I do my own, natural, bit of polish. Not a fan of long false nails, too unpractical and why pay so much? Xx

Yes probably @Milkydumplings. I guess I don't care enough about what they think. It seems foolish to follow a beauty standard that I find unattractive to make others happy.

I’ve never had my nails done by anybody. I occasionally put nail varnish on myself, but I wouldn’t do it for a holiday. I’d avoid doing my nails then.

I've never had a manicure or pedicure in my life, let alone for a holiday 😆😆

I mean, surely you've seen other people on holidays in the past ?
I'm assuming if you regularly pay someone to do your nails, then you would notice the nails of other people around you ?
How can you try and claim to be shocked ?
