what have you got and what are you replacing? Anything on your wishlist?

I have those cargoes in black @MooseyMoo
I bought them 2 years ago and have worn them such a lot. They were definitely a great buy.

mumda · 13/04/2024 17:25

Buying some summer wellington boots!

anon2022anon · 13/04/2024 17:30

Too much already. In my defence, I go on holiday in 3 weeks, so telling myself I'm buying now instead of later.

Bought this Zara cardigan in Barcelona in February and I'm living in it, might be too thick for summer though. https://www.zara.com/uk/en/striped-knit-cardigan-p06771008.html?v1=327873017&v2=2352849 I also have the black chanel-esque one someone linked above in cream, such a good cardigan. It's lasting well for Zara too.

Wearing these trousers today, they're such good quality for the price and hang lovely https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1217677004.html

This dress is sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be worn https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1212602001.html

I was unsure about this maxi, but it's nice on with a t-shirt https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1225776003.html

Basic but really nice quality tshirts- I like these more than Uniqlo https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-ultimate-t-shirt-with-crew-neck-in-cotton-blend-2-pack-save-in-black-and-white-multi/prd/202423939?ctaRef=my+orders

Just had some leopard print jeans delivered to try too

Oops 🤣

I do like Zara, the one in my town closed down so when I’m in town which has one it gets a bit ££££…I find the pictures on their website often don’t do the clothes justice

I find the stores so hit and miss. They can look like a jumble sale sometimes, or they can look fabulous, but then have never ending queues for the dressing rooms and to pay. As you say, the website doesn't do the clothes justice often, and it is quite hard to navigate as there is so much (like ASOS), but links like yours make it easier! 😜

Saurus72 · 13/04/2024 17:38

@TheGirlattheBack Ah thanks, didn’t even occur to me that actual real shops might stock it. Looks like Collen & Claire in Southwold have it, I’ve been meaning to take a little trip there for a while.

chalkyc2 · 13/04/2024 17:47

I want some jorts but everyone laughed at my selection on a thread I started so I'm a bit uncertain now! Just ordered a midi denim skirt. Need some ankle grazers for work and a few summer tops. Maybe a dress or two. I've lost 7.5 stone since this time last year so errrrr I need some summer stuff!! And I can now wear a much more ambitious selection of clothes so trying to stop myself going crazy at the shops!

Fairyliz · 13/04/2024 18:09

I’ve realised that 2/3 of my clothes are summer clothes which is ridiculous as I am really cold blooded.
So I’m hoping to scour eBay/vinted and get some decent wool jumpers for a good price when people have their winter clear out.

Lentilweaver · 12/04/2024 10:05

I cant do puff sleeves either which ruled out 90% of summer dresses for me. I look like a Soviet weightlifter. I am attempting skirts this summer.

Me too!!! So annoying!!

liveforchocolate · 13/04/2024 19:16

@mrschocolatte I absolutely LOVE that colour. I have a skirt from there that colour from at least 3 summers ago and it is still going strong so your dress will last... an investment ;)

wutheringkites · 13/04/2024 19:28

I got this dress in white and black. It's very flattering.

CormorantStrikesBack · 13/04/2024 19:36

@anon2022anon I love that maxi skirt.

are the asos T-shirts as good quality/thick as Uniqlo ones?

anon2022anon · 13/04/2024 19:41

@CormorantStrikesBack no, a completely different texture. The Uniqlo ones are thick and a little bit unwieldy I find sometimes, and a tiny bit too short in the body. I don't like them for under things or on really hot days.
The ASOS ones are a lot thinner but not see through like lots are, they feel really soft too. I sized down one as they're oversized, the size 12 is still loose fit on me as a 14. So I'll keep both, for different things

anon2022anon · 13/04/2024 19:42

P.S. your name reminded me to order book 6 for holiday this week 😁

Ha ha, enjoy

Compsearch · 13/04/2024 20:17

I got a Uniqlo comptoir des cotonniers collab black linen suit the other day - love it.

And ordered some Birkenstock arizonas as my others broke last year after about 10 years.

Pigtailsandall · 13/04/2024 20:37

Argh, summer clothes give me anxiety as I rarely find good fits. I bought a brown pair of thin cotton trousers from COS sale in January, and a brown pair of shorts from Passenger. I think I'm good for bottoms.

What I do need is some leather sandals- I'm thinking metallic or black, and a summer dress. I sold almost ALL my summer dresses last year. None of them felt right. I rarely wear skirts, but I'd like one but I'm so picky. It has to be v thin, gauzy cotton, as I only wear dresses when very hot. No tiers, no frills. V-neck, scoop or maybe boat neck. No spaghetti straps, although wide straps are ok (thinking more of a v short sleeve, cap sleeve or sleeveless. No prints, preferably neutral. I basically want to feel like i'm wearing air!

D20 · 13/04/2024 21:53

I’m still researching leopard print. I think I’ve narrowed it down to wanting a faded print that goes with greys or browns.

I’m also on the lookout for a bandana/small neckerchief scarf and maybe some flat brown sandals.

PrimalLass · 13/04/2024 23:32

There's such lovely things in the shops right now. It's a nightmare as I'm not meant to be buying anything.

EasterIssland · 13/04/2024 23:33

I need to soon buy trousers that won’t suit me but that I need. Going on hols to south east Asia and need clothes for walking around and visiting temples during the day and I feel depressed about clothes shopping
