Microblading help!

Hello, so I decided to have my eyebrows micro bladed and found someone near me, who seemed good, to do it. I just wanted to have my sparse areas filled in but I am now worried they have gone too thick. My eyebrow artist has said it is a normal process of healing but they look too thick on day 1 of healing. I can’t find any evidence to say they won’t be as thick on the internet, only that the darkness will reduce. Does anyone have some Microblading experience to make me feel any better? Definitely feel like I made a mistake in having them done. Do I just need to stick out the healing process? Thanks

Hi. I'm blonde and had my brows microbladed eighteen months ago. I think yours will be fine in a few weeks. The 'hairs' look thick because of scabbing, I think you'll find they become 'finer' as they heal, and you'll soon be thrilled with them!

Neverpostagain · 27/03/2024 21:23

They do fade op, or mine certainly did over the first two weeks. So I hope you end up with something more like you expected within a fortnight.

MiltonNorthern · 27/03/2024 21:24

They will look much better when they have settled, don't panic

bloodyeffinnora · 27/03/2024 21:28

I think they look lovely

EffinMagicFairy · 27/03/2024 21:30

For a few days after I’ve had mine done, initially and then top up, I’ve had moments of deep regret, but when they settle they will look fab, they always look sore/swollen for a couple of days, then they start to settle, they can go patchy looking during the healing process but just be patient and they’ll be perfect.

Axx · 27/03/2024 21:33

They do look big but they will settle.

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 28/03/2024 00:30

I think they look great and need the time to heal and don't you go back in few weeks for the top up. Need mine done as lost them with underactive thyroid. Just need to find someone to go to here in Ireland. How much did you pay? It is just because it is just a shock to see full eyebrows. They will be lovely don't worry.

While we're on a brow microblading thread, may I ask any of you whether you were given numbing cream when you had yours done, please? I wasn't, because I was told it effects the skin and therefore the finished result, but I have to say it was verrrry uncomfortable getting them done!

Appleblum · 28/03/2024 01:18

They do look big and scary but that's part of the healing process. If I remember correctly they'll shrink and lighten about 30%.

ChinChinDarlings · 28/03/2024 01:26

Your face is lovely.

Your eyebrows they will settle.

They shrink and lighten. Follow the aftercare rules you were given and wait at least a week. 1 day after is not indicative as to how they'll turn out.

Shetom · 28/03/2024 06:06

Yes, I was given numbing cream. It cost me £295. Thanks for everyone’s comments. I do feel better that this won’t be the finished look.

They can only buy the numbing cream on once they have made the initial stroke, as it alters the skin and result. It shouldn’t go on straight away before they start.

JollyJunee · 28/03/2024 06:47

I think they’ll settle down OP, they are lovely! Definitely not crazy brows.

legalseagull · 30/03/2024 08:07

I had mine done yesterday OP and they look ridiculous today 😂 I'm really hoping everything I read online about fading is true. How are yours looking now on day 4?

Was also given numbing cream

Mummyofthewildones · 30/03/2024 08:18

I had powder brows done 2 years ago - pics show before, 18 months after being done, and I've just had 2 year colour boost. Its tattooing similar to microblading but a more powdery filled in effect. They all look really strong, bold and dark to begin with but settle to a lovely natural, more filled effect. I had numbing cream and it didn't affect how well they healed or anything.

Yes, they fade and look better once they are healed! I remember when I had mine done that it became a running joke that I was 'taking my eyebrows to' (wherever I was going).

🤣😂🤣

This reminded me of when I had a rather 'bold' haircut when I was a teen and every time I went out my dad would shout to my mum 'Moira! Titania's taking that haircut out for a walk'.

Shetom · 30/03/2024 17:26

This is my microbladed eyebrows day 4. Definitely reduced in redness so I don’t feel so embarrassed about going outside. I am hoping they will lighten a little in colour by next week as I am going back to work and I don’t want people to be looking at me funny 🤣

I have been working really hard not to get them wet and been following the rules. Not experienced too much itchiness (yet).

They look really good and so different in all of them! Thanks as it makes me understand how much they change. I like the powder brow look.

They look good. Can I ask did you like them immediately after having them done? It’s just that I walked away feeling not sure if I liked the look. I had mine done because I had sparse brows from over plucking (90s thing) so I am hoping that I am just getting used to having eyebrows at all

They look great, they've done a really good job of matching your hair colour and the lines will be much finer once they're healed. If they do get itchy, try to tap them rather than rub/scratch. I think you'll be really happy with the end result.

legalseagull · 30/03/2024 19:07

I'm not sure if I like mine yet OP. I left the Salon feeling a little panicked that one is higher than the other - and then I looked at before photos and realised my face is actually wonky 😂 I've been self conscious today about the darkness, but given I only had them down yesterday I think they'll end up ok
