Microblading help!

Hello, so I decided to have my eyebrows micro bladed and found someone near me, who seemed good, to do it. I just wanted to have my sparse areas filled in but I am now worried they have gone too thick. My eyebrow artist has said it is a normal process of healing but they look too thick on day 1 of healing. I can’t find any evidence to say they won’t be as thick on the internet, only that the darkness will reduce. Does anyone have some Microblading experience to make me feel any better? Definitely feel like I made a mistake in having them done. Do I just need to stick out the healing process? Thanks

I paid £275 for mine. Am in Wales. I think that's a good price - there are places nearby which charge £350 but in all honesty I think that's to cover the fancy salon.

Mine on day 17 and they are definitely not symmetrical. I am not sure if it is as obvious on a photo. I would actually like her to make them slightly more similar in shape as one has a sharper angle. They are much softer now but still quite scabby and patchy, which you can’t see on the photos.

Your brow tech should be able to tweak the shape a little at your top up

As they'll soften, lighten and even shrink a tiny bit

The true results are seen at 4-6 weeks depending on individual skin

paymenterror · 12/04/2024 17:26

Do you have a follow up appointment? I had to go back after 6 weeks to complete mine.

The look more natural but they are very big/thick.

But without seeing the rest of your face all the focus is on them so they probably look more balance and less of an impact in person.

Yes, I have one in 4 weeks time. 6 weeks from first appointment.

Dr Joan, I think, maybe you need to keep up with trend a little bit more

Toothbrushh · 12/04/2024 20:33

I’m interested that people talk about them being so scabby and so on. When I had done done for the first time last year, they were a little bit itchy because of a very light scab but really nothing bad.

Mine scabbed alot but did not flake off by themselves so have had to apply a lot of cream/ aftercare oil to help it along.

My aftercare was careless

could it be that some people just scab less ?

Done properly they shouldn't scab much, also it's very important to blot them every hour or two on the first day they're done

My clients very rarely scab and if they do it's very minimal. I am very strict with aftercare instructions though

Upinthenightagain · 12/04/2024 21:57

They will shrink and go softer. Mine unfortunately went grey and lost all the stroke definition

I was told to dry heal and not put anything on them for the first 4 days. After that I could, sparingly, apply the aftercare oil. This was to help with itching but I felt it made me itch more so hardly applied any until day 14.

How do they look now, OP?

I've just had mine done and I'm not sure how I feel about them!

How about a before and after picture? Don't forget they'll change lots over the next ten days

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 04/05/2024 10:41

My eyebrows this morning after getting them done yesterday afternoon.

Excuse the spot. It's bloody painful!

They're great

They'll soften and lighten considerably (I'm a PMU / brow artist)

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 04/05/2024 11:20

Thank you @iloveshetlandponies

I'm trying to "trust the process", they're just looking a bit too crisp for my liking right now.

Ahh the crispy stage 🙈🙈

Not fun. What ever you do, do NOT pick! As tempting as it is

If they feel itchy you can put something cool on them (I give out little cool packs in my aftercare kit that can be fridged)

@FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee how are they now? I had mine done on Sunday and as soon as I saw them I thought they looked to dark and too big, I’m hoping they’ll soften but I’m really self conscious at the moment!

hollyblueivy · 21/05/2024 07:00

I'm getting eyebrow envy!!!!

I can't afford £300 for eyebrows though - what is the cheapest option for me if I never really do anything with my brows but now want to smarten them up??!

Rollergirl11 · 21/05/2024 13:14

@hollyblueivy you could go for a simple brow tint & wax that costs around £20. Probably lasts around a month. The wax will tidy them up and give them a good shape and the tint catches all the little hairs you can’t see with the naked eye so will make them look much thicker.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 21/05/2024 16:01

@BellsAndFootfalls

I know exactly how you're feeling. In a few days they're going to look really good. And then they'll start to peel off and fade, which is where I'm at now!

I hope they come back darker because they look stupid right now, but at least I can fill in with makeup now.

@hollyblueivy try HD eyebrows.
