I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

I used to love The Body Shop's Raspberry Ripple Bathing Bubbles and Cosmetic to Go"s (now Lush) Smaragadine bubble bath. I wish they would return.

I loved the Body Shop rosewater and glycerin lotion. And the mandarin glycerin soaps.

Anyway, to add my tuppence worth... Lidl used to do a really lovely perfume by the tills, never on the aisles as it was seasonal, Essence de Aguamarina. It was a few years ago now.

I bought five bottles and wore it as a day-to-day perfume for bloody ages, I had so many compliments about how nice I smelled! I still keep an eye out for it, but no luck 😪😪

That was my ‘work’ perfume for years too.

I miss Lush before it disappeared up it's own arse and was called Cosmetics to Go. Their Ginger perfume was lovely and their egg yolk shampoo made my hair SO shiny

Sainsbury’s used to have cheese buttons. Was about 20 years ago but I still miss them.

Balenciaga Paris perfume…my brother, who used to work in the perfume department at Debenhams before it went down the pan, bought me a bottle one year. I love it soooo much and now have about one spray left. Its been discontinued for some time and despite searching high and low have never found a good dupe or equivalent. I was excited recently to see a bottle on E-bay for £5..until i realised it was an empty bottle

Bodyshop pumpkin shower facemask. So good; I only realised it had gone when I went to reorder!

Tigi curl jam. Not seen since about 2003 but the absolute bollocks for my curly hair. And th blueberry smell was so good! I tried the replacement and it just wasn’t the same.

Definicils is still available. It's their best.

There are some on EBay but very expensive.

They seem to have changed it. The latest one I have bought has ended up halfway down my face by the end of the night.

New West perfume by Aramis and baby rose jeans perfume by Versace.

La Mer “the refining facial”. It was brilliant stuff. Expensive, but lasted ages and had visible results. I’ve also stocked up on REN gentle cleansing milk which is brilliant for eye make up. I’ll be very disappointed when I run out!

TK Maxx for REN. They have a lot of it currently so stock up!

I loved the aramis new west skin scent perfume too.

So I have a relative who's in this world and they say that some of the body shop was discontinued because it wasn't vegan, other times ingredients don't match up to new laws - and substitutes provided by fragrance houses aren't as good.
Interesting right?
