I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

Walkingwashingmachine · 17/03/2024 20:09

To the PP that mentioned Benefit Rockateur, I feel your pain. I've tried several "dupes" and none are as good. I also miss the Perfect 10 that benefit did.

Snack wise, mignon morceaux by Philleas Fogg has left a hole that as tes is still to be filled.

Tresemme undone conditioner. My curly hair loved it.

KirstenBlest · 17/03/2024 20:17

Lancome did a great solid foundation in a rectangular compact. Cant recall the name. Lasted for ages and was so easy..quick whizz with the sponge and job done.
I remember it but not the name.

Maquilumine!!! Teint Idole Ultra compact foundation I see from ebay. £30 and its got to be over 20 years old so I don't fancy splashing out..

Walkingwashingmachine · 17/03/2024 20:21

Was good though

MrsWidgerysLodger · 17/03/2024 20:21

Also Neutrogena used to to the BEST clarifying shampoo for when your hair needed a really good reset. I was gutted when they stopped making it. Their new anti residue shampoo isn't nearly as good.

Walkingwashingmachine · 17/03/2024 20:23

In a short rectangular bottle. For getting rid of the silicone build up you got from first generation Pantene

Blackcats7 · 17/03/2024 20:32

@GretaGip yes! It smelt like marzipan. I tracked some down on ebay at huge cost as it still seems available in japan. Can’t find any more now though.
I get my marzipan hit from Burts Bees almond hand cream instead.

springpromise · 17/03/2024 20:48

L’Oréal lumi magique primer
Paul Smith Floral perfume

Not discontinued but a reformulation - Nyx nude beige lip liner. It was the most perfect neutral nude colour but for some reason they changed it and it’s now fucking orange.

KirstenBlest · 17/03/2024 21:13

@Walkingwashingmachine , thanks! I did think it might be teint idole but I used to wear the liquid foundation.

Twiggydances · 17/03/2024 21:19

Clinique Gentle Light face powder. It's years since it was discontinued and I've never found anything to match it. Also a blue menthol based exfoliating mask of theirs. It was the best thing for shifting blackheads!

WhereAreWeNow · 17/03/2024 21:21

@Walkingwashingmachine oh god, I've just been transported back 35 years. I'd forgotten about those Body Shop bath pearls. That was my Christmas morning bath too. Blast from the past!

BooksAndHooks · 17/03/2024 21:21

@PossumintheHouse Old or new? They changed it dramatically before they discontinued it.

The original was amazing. Now it's more like a bronzer.

I'm still furious about Mignon morceaux. WHY OH WHY hasn't anyone (I'm looking at you marks and spencer) duped these?

I demand answers!

KirstenBlest · 21/03/2024 19:26

Mmm. Mignons morceaux.

@BurningTheToast

If you don't mind shopping from Amazon they still do it. (Revlon Flex I mean)

You can get Revlon Flex in Home Bargains. It was a delightful surprise!

Is it actually called Flex? I got two big bottles of yellow Revlon shampoo and conditioner. Smells similar I think… but no Flex written on it (also wasn’t great on my hair annoyingly)
