I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

Nice n easy 8 wash non permanent hair colour.
The light ash blonde used to give me a nice light brown.
Cannot get it here anywhere.

Freakinfraser · 15/03/2024 16:16

Laura mercier discontinued their body soufflé,and launched instead a cream that has barely any perfume in it and no longevity, it’s a nice cream and all but it’s a body cream for that purpose, no longer the lovely scented version you could smell all day. I bought a tub of the new stuff, but meh, I’m out. Absolutely loved their Ambre and vanille and stunned they just end gamed it. Christ they could have doubled the price and I’d habe bought.

Years ago, Decleor had a perfume called Arome Tonique. I had compliments whenever I wore it. Unfortunately, Decleor discontinued it but shortly after, brought out another perfume called Arome Tonic. I ended up with a few bottles of the new one as presents from people who didn't realise it wasn't the original. Still pissed off with Decleor now.

Vidal Sassoon almondy shampoo and conditioner from the Eighties 😭

Kittycat333 · 15/03/2024 16:18

I'll never forgive Tom Ford for discontinuing Sahara Noir with no notice 😪

Burton's (previously Walter's) Potato Puffs.
The best crispy snack in the world, ever.

Sorry realised this is in style and beauty 😂

Ilovecurrywednesdays · 15/03/2024 16:18

Lou Lou Blue perfume. I scour the Internet at least once a month to see if anyone has found a dupe or something remotely similar. I have about 5 sprays left in a 30ml bottle and I can't bring myself to use it. It's on ebay for like £100 for 30ml 😩

And Tendre Poison. Cabotine is a little similar but it's missing something

This too. Cheese and tomato in particular.

MsFogi · 15/03/2024 16:19

Perfume here too - I am bereft since Aqua di Parma stopped Iris Nobile and Michael Kors stopped Michael Kors.

Another one: does anyone remember Benefit's Bathina Body So Fine.

Sad times.

Molton Brown used to do a lovely clear face wash which was pricey, but smelled lovely and was my treat. One day they replaced it with an anti-aging one and doubled the price. It’s twenty years ago, Still annoyed!

countfrom8 · 15/03/2024 16:25

Trevor Sorbie pink Curl Cream (from Boots). Have tried many products since and nothing compares. Boots Curl Creme is alright, but not as good.

SparrowFeet · 15/03/2024 16:25

Was that the one with the sponge that you used to spread the product up the front of your legs?
Yeah I loved that it smelled lovely. Weird colour though. I think it's too peachy for current fashion.

J'ai ose by Guy Laroche
Envol by Ted Lapidus

1980s perfumes and bloody wonderful

HungerPangs · 15/03/2024 16:27

Perfume features high up on my list, too.

Love by Chloe (although Perfume Parlour do an OK dupe). I am still angry about it and it was discontinued several years ago.

Helloandgoodmorning2 · 15/03/2024 16:29

Boots own brand Traditional Cold Cream, it was the best cleanser. So many calls for it to be brought back!

Kim Kardashian KK ( in the black bottle) was a very good dupe for Michael Kors Michael Kors…but I think it’s been discontinued, too! Grin

Lush Agas conditioner was THE BEST for my blonde hair and I always got so many compliments/never had to get my hair toned.

benefit you rebel tinted moisturiser

Brannigans ham and mustard crisps.

Cadbury Spiras

loreal paradise tinted moisturiser

and soon enough I’ll be saying the body shop hemp hand cream and their lip balms

Taylormiffed · 15/03/2024 16:29

Revlon 3 day lash tint.

It didn't smudge, wear off or need to be taken off. It wasn't really thickening like other mascaras but it really enhanced them. Still bitter 16yrs on.

hulahoopqueen · 15/03/2024 16:29

Khiels skin rescuer moisturiser. The best texture and performance dupe I've found is - surprisingly - Kylie Jenner's Kylie skin face moisturiser.
SR had the perfect "clean" smell to it, which I've not been able to find in any other product. Gutted.

Are you talking about the Bathina? It was a light pinky colour with a black sponge and smelled bloody gorgeous. I still have one tin of it but the smell is no longer the same.

And benefit Dr Feelgood primer

doppelgangermirror · 15/03/2024 16:31

Prescriptives Virtual Skin Foundation. It was so bloody good.

SqueakyDinosaur · 15/03/2024 16:32

Diptyque Eau de Tarocco - a slightly spiced blood orange perfume with a hint of rosewater. Eking out my last bottle, but confirmed with them that they're not planning to revive it. WOE.
