Discontinued products that you can NEVER forgive them for.

I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

Decleor Phytopeel. The best exfoliator that ever lived. They briefly re-branded it as Thyme Peel then got rid of that too. Sometimes 50ml of it pops on eBay for about £6,240 😒

It was like nothing else. I used to say it was the one product I hoped would never be discontinued. Then they discontinued it. Argh 😩

KVD Metal Crush in thunderstruck. The best highlighter I've ever owned (in the height of highlighter mania) and I've not found anything similar since.

Revlon 3 day lash tint.

It didn't smudge, wear off or need to be taken off. It wasn't really thickening like other mascaras but it really enhanced them. Still bitter 16yrs on.

Mine is similar to yours Taylor - Colorsport dye for lashes and brows, they changed the formula and it ruined it, and nothing else seems to work either, not even at the salon. I loved having features.

Lancôme Flash Bronzer gel for face. I loved it and for some reason it just made my skin so nice and just just the tiniest glow.

I'm gutted and have never been able to find something similar. Last bottle still has very tiny amount and it's probably 20 years old but I still want to use it 🫣

So many. Seems like everything I like gets discontinued!

Mattyfying primers from Estée Lauder, Dior OC8 and Urban Decay. The peach range from Too Faced. And now I’m worried about the setting spray from Nimya as Space NK is no longer stocking it.

Me too! Right down to the tiny amount in a 20 or so year old bottle! I’ve never found anything to match it sadly

A particular shade of Estée Lauder lipstick, the perfect cool-toned pink, not too pale and not too bright. I bought a couple on eBay at silly prices but I don't know what to buy when they run out.

Simple Vital Vitamin foaming face wash. It suited my ridiculously sensitive skin perfectly and I'd used it for donkeys' years. My skin doesn't like any of the other Simple face washes. I'm using an E45 one at the moment but it's not as good.

Body Shop Fuji Green Tea shampoo. They discontinued this immediately after I'd discovered it. DS and I used one bottle between us, loved it, went to order another, and there it was - gone. It's still around on eBay, but for stupid prices.

SableGrape · 15/03/2024 16:49

Ed Hardy Hearts and Daggers. It smelled bloody amazing!

AnnoyingPopUp · 15/03/2024 16:49

Natrel antiperspirant deodorant from the 1990s. Wonderful stuff. I’ve never found anything as good since then.

Not as luxe as Decleor by any stretch but Scrub of Your Life by Soap and Glory is very good.

Sorry assumed you meant body scrub. The best facial scrub I've had is nip and fab glycolic face scrub.

Lou670 · 15/03/2024 16:57

Intimately Beckham perfume.

stayathomer · 15/03/2024 16:58

Gucci- their original Gucci perfume was just the best!!! Charles worthington for their dreamy dream clarifying shampoo and have to add Rimmel for changing their perfect match and wake me up formulas!!

PossumintheHouse · 15/03/2024 16:59

A slightly different post, but: heed this warning. Those of you who use Benefit's They're Real! mascara, I swear that's up for a discontinue bomb soon. Stock up while you can. It's brilliant, as long as you don't blink or sneeze when you're applying it. You read it here first.

Liz Earle's superbalm. During lockdown I was clearing wardrobes out and found a tub in an old bag, honestly felt like I'd won the lottery

Notellinganyone · 15/03/2024 17:01

Floris 1988 and Tom Ford Gardenia. Really miss those. Estée Lauder Nude Waterfresh foundation. Made my skin look amazing. Going back years Body Shop Viennese Chalk face wash - made face so smooth.
