The buttery Amazon leggings!!

dothehokeycokey · 02/03/2024 12:56

Just wanted to post as I caught a thread on here a few days ago about the best buttery leggings out there that aren't extortionate.

Lots of posters recommended the Amazon ones with a link.

Anyhow and as per usual when I see a recommendation here I duly logged on and bought a pair.

They were £8.50 Star

So they turned up yesterday and I remembered this morning so chucked them on after a shower and wow they are the most comfiest and best fitting leggings I've actually bought and I've bought many many pairs over the years ranging in price from £5 upto £75.

Wel see how well they wash and dry but so far so good

OP posts:

I did exactly the same. Mine came yesterday so I haven’t washed them yet. They are ridiculously comfortable!

EdithGrantham · 02/03/2024 13:01

Which ones are they? I have some from Amazon that I've been impressed with but always on the look out for others too!

mooncloud1 · 02/03/2024 13:01

Ohh I missed this, do you have link at all please 🙏🏻

MILTOBE · 02/03/2024 13:03

But why are they called buttery leggings?

Mine are arriving today 😁

tempnameforadvice · 02/03/2024 13:09

I just love them so much!!!

Doglegs · 02/03/2024 13:11

Do they hold you in? Make your legs look good?! I like soft but I like to feel streamlined!

goingdownfighting · 02/03/2024 13:14

I bought mine 2 years ago and they're still going strong.

Shinyandnew1 · 02/03/2024 13:15

I was reading the reviews after the post on here the other day-it had quite a lot of photos showing the fabric with holes in and showing how the fabric collected fluff/bits.

@dothehokeycokey what’s the fabric like-can you post some photos? Is it shiny like gym leggings?

emerald1981 · 02/03/2024 13:16

Love these!

AnonyLonnymouse · 02/03/2024 13:19

I have these but tbh they are only really good for loungewear use. No ‘holding in’ power, zero elastane and not at all to be compared to proper exercise leggings.

Sorry but the term ‘buttery’ is also really off putting - what on earth are people thinking using a term for a form of fat for an item of clothing? Not that it reminds me of a notorious abusive film scene or anything.

Overthebow · 02/03/2024 13:22

Does anyone know what size for a size 16?

Chrysanthemum5 · 02/03/2024 13:33

I bought these about a year ago and they are still going strong. Very soft and comfortable to wear

FootOnTheGas · 02/03/2024 13:36

Move Beyond on Amazon have some very good soft yoga trousers and leggings.

MissingMoominMamma · 02/03/2024 13:37

I must’ve bought the wrong ones- mine were £20. Lovely and soft though!

TheChosenTwo · 02/03/2024 13:38

Why are they buttery? Gives a very greasy image in my head 😱 are they yellow? What’s going on?!

bluesclues9 · 02/03/2024 13:39

Please can you provide the link OP? I don't want to get the wrong ones

willWillSmithsmith · 02/03/2024 14:50

Just bought a pair. Arriving tomorrow.

EdithGrantham · 02/03/2024 14:50

Ah yes those are the ones I have! Buttery soft is how I described them to my mum as well 😆 I wear them instead of tights under shorter dresses and they never go baggy, see-through or lose their colour and have lasted years and years.

inlotsofknots · 02/03/2024 14:56

I bought these after the recommendation but I'm afraid they went back!! Yes, they are very soft, but this is at the expense of any structure whatsoever, as a previous poster said. They showed every lump and bump and you could even see my cellulite through them! I prefer a firmer legging that's a bit more flattering, but if only bought for comfort or perhaps you're luckier than me in the lump, bump and cellulite dept, then they did feel very soft!

AhBiscuits · 02/03/2024 15:00

All my leggings go baggy at the knees within hours and I hate it 💀
I'm hoping these are the answer.

CloudPop · 02/03/2024 15:03

MILTOBE · 02/03/2024 13:03

But why are they called buttery leggings?

I'm desperate to know the answer to this question !

They have 8 percent elastane?

EvesamtsirhC · 02/03/2024 15:05

I'm wearing them right now after spotting that thread the other day. Really comfy and not see-through. They don't hold me in as much as proper gym leggings, but they're fine for general wear. I'm a size 14 and bought the L-XL size.

I hate the term 'buttery soft' but they do feel lovely and theyre matt, not shiny as someone was asking.
