I have the green cord skirt - it is one of the few items I have bought full price. I absolutely love it and wear it loads, it goes with so much. I think you can wear it for 3 seasons and seems really hard wearing.

Ohhh thanks for your styling info on the beautiful green skirt … it was the colour I’m most drawn to but was thinking the toffee was the more sensible option. Maybe I just need to be more bold in my colour pairings. Imagine one will end up in my basket before the day is out … 😆

Qweesh · 22/03/2024 12:43

@neveradullmoment99 sadly the lime dress is a keeper. But it’s not really lime, pic attached of the colour. It is glorious!!!

Qweesh · 22/03/2024 12:46

@Countmeout The jacket is exactly what I want but it’s too big. Will return for smaller

whinsome · 22/03/2024 13:06

Beautiful colour @Qweesh !

Similarly coloured cord skirt has been ordered as sizes were running out.

Qweesh · 22/03/2024 13:12

@whinsome Isn’t it beautiful. I almost went and ordered the cord skirt but I already have it in Toffee so had to sit on my hands!!

That sounds great! I love the colour and I like cord, I am just not sure if the shape will suit me. But time will tell!

the A-line cord? Was tempted by the green too, but have gone for toffee as I'm at the start of rejigging my wardrobe into brighter colours and trying to figure out what might work as neutrals first. Hoping the toffee is a colour that goes with most things. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the colour in real life, it looks really beautiful on screen.

I liked the toffee one too. It was a bit of a toss up. But I wear a lot more green than brown and it fits my tops and sweaters better in green.

applecatchers36 · 22/03/2024 14:08

Have ordered both the green and the toffee cord skirt and will see which I like best in real life when they arrive should be Tuesday next week

Oooh it looks gorgeous in colour. How is the fit? I am a 14. It says to size down? Would you agree with that?

neveradullmoment99 · 22/03/2024 15:11

@Qweesh How will you wear it to avoid dry cleaning? I just cannot be bothered dry cleaning tbh.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/03/2024 15:11

I mean maybe a fine top under it?

Countmeout · 22/03/2024 15:15

Oh good @Qweesh . Glad it’s a sort of success. Hope the other size is just perfect.

Stoic123 · 22/03/2024 15:39

@Qweesh - that looks gorgeous. I have been eyeing up the midnight version for months but couldn't justify full price for the amount of times I would wear if drycleaning needed. Sold out in my size before the sale so temptation removed.

faustina · 22/03/2024 15:47

@Qweesh - what a lovely colour - so vivid!

@lordloveadog - thank you - very helpful. I'm not a fan of neat jumpers either

Qweesh · 22/03/2024 15:54

@neveradullmoment99 I’m an 18 and the site recommended a Large. Generally I buy an XL but as the sizing tool seems to be getting more accurate I took a punt with the Large and it’s a perfect fit, so yes, I would say to size down.

Re wear to avoid dry cleaning, I was thinking to just use my steamer after wear to freshen a little, and then bung in the washing machine on a cool wash as needed and hope for the best. 🤪

@Stoic123 try the green, try the green!!

TosstTastic · 22/03/2024 16:10

I've joined the cord skirt club! Bit worried about the elastic back but worth a punt.
Also gone for the flecked jumper.
My current ethos is - can I wear this for 'best', will it be ok at work (bit quirky, robust workshop) land then can I wear it in the garden.

sonjadog · 22/03/2024 16:21

@TosstTastic Which colour did you go for?

Stoic123 · 22/03/2024 16:59

@Qweesh 😂

Unfortunately the colour, as gorgeous as it is, won't suit me.

TosstTastic · 22/03/2024 17:53

Toffee @sonjadog Got a few brightish green knitwear things so didn't want to go full Alien Attacks.
Went for the Donegal scarf but suspect it might be too heavy.

Toastlurker · 22/03/2024 18:03

Me: I absolutely, definitely don’t want or need anything from this sale.

Me, ten minutes later: I’ve suddenly discovered an urgent cardigan gap in my wardrobe and the lofty alpaca just fell into my basket.

Countmeout · 22/03/2024 18:11

I panicked about the fact I haven’t bought a coat this year and bought the brown one Evie had on in one of the videos. It’s going back and I haven’t even got it yet 🤦‍♀️
I also bought my first Emma T shirt. Took a stab at the size. Not very hopeful.

The green dress looks amazing @Qweesh .

I can vouch that a Donegal scarf is very heavy @TosstTastic . I got one in a previous sale. It is rather lovely though. Has a Donegal smell .

The current Season continues to elude me , or maybe the few things I may have bought are already present in the wardrobe .
I went to my local Toast to try a few pieces and all were poorly fitting on me . That dear little neat jacket ,the one with Nehru collar in deep navy or cream , which would have been snapped up had it fitted was just a little too neat in my usual size and the next up which they didn’t have will probably be too big on the shoulders.
Looking forward to receiving the sale buys , I’m expecting to keep two or three items out of those. Will report back !

Stoic123 · 22/03/2024 18:51

Having a second look at the sale.

Has anyone tried on the Blanket Stitch Wrap Jacket? If so, thoughts?

Countmeout · 22/03/2024 19:13

I have thoughts @Stoic123 . I saw it in store. It is beautiful. I am surprised it is not sold out as the coat is in many sizes. I would have ordered it except I am not sure how a half jacket in that fabric fits in my wardrobe.

Stoic123 · 22/03/2024 19:21

@Countmeout - thanks. I'm going to order it to try. Think it may fill a gap for me.
