Gosh @Countmeout I love the colours on that scarf, and so good against the blue - is that an old crinkle cotton dress you’re wearing? I actually don’t own any scarves, but this looks lovely. Does Toast do a cotton one like this every season? Scarves aren’t generally on my radar at all…

Yes @FitzLea theyve had one of these for the last 3 seasons. I have a yellow ochre and orange. I like a wee scarf. I’ve also used them round my shoulders on holidays or as a wrap. They’ve very thin and light. They wash well. The dress is the current crinkled pinafore. It’s darker than it looks in the photo. Took a photo to reassure myself the green actually worked . I’m dying to pull out the cotton/ linen navy Alix I got in the last sale. The colour is very effective with navy and white.

@ScottishMouse my vote is to get the shower curtain! It’ll bring pure joy everyday and in my opinion that’ll be worth the cost. It’s gorgeous!

Totally agree about the random and frequent " drops" also much prefer the phrase and style of "new season" as its all very bitty.
Sometimes I CBA to trawl through everything if I'm being honest.

I sent back the dark olive dress and as I'm in London popped in to try the skirt.

I already have the black version and it's a lovely weight which hangs beautifully .
I'm a RL 10-12 now and the medium is just OK despite me having a small waist.
I think this was discussed previously as very neat on the waist.
It most certainly is.

I like the trailing nasturtium shirt far more than I expected .
Lovely stuff but so much of it is similar to things I already own

New stuff was being prepped and I was allowed to have a look.
Nothing exciting apart from a very 1970s pair of floral flares

I probably buy 1 or 2 new things every 2-3 months and a few things in the sale.
All my too big stuff has gone and I have a nice, manageable collection.
The last really reduced thing I bought was the chalkboard dress at £40ish in the accidentally found secret sale.
There's one on Vinted now for £85 ,no offers
That might be one of the reasons toast aren't selling super low in the sales anymore, an awful lot of it ends up on reselling sites?

Oh goodness, I ordered the slate jacket and it’s a keeper. I was so conflicted as it’s very spendy (for me) for an unlined jacket, but it’s just really good.

I also have the green island scarf - but it’s in a drawer waiting for warmer weather - am
still happed up in wool scarves at the mo’.

Hi all, I am still conflicted about the dark green crinkle skirt but it goes well with my round collar 3/4 sleeve tee in a similar colour. However, as I put it on this morning to try and haven’t taken it off, looks like I am keeping it!

Even with 15% off, I think it’s the most I have ever spent on a skirt, (I much prefer dresses and trousers). I just got a bit carried away at the Kindred event 🙀

Goodness knows what else I can wear with it - it’s a funny colour to wear with other things. For those of you who have this or the dress, which colours would you recommend?

I have fallen victim to the lure of a Kindred gift and ordered the mug that I virtuously left unbought on Thursday.

I dont have the skirt or the dress but I have had that colour and do like black/ aubergine or deep red/ cream or any neutral/ navy with it.

Thanks @neveradullmoment99 - I also have the cream and the black in the round collared tee, (bit obsessed with them😹), so I will give those a go.

Now I need a thicker top or jumper for when a tee isn’t enough.

I am also hoping it washes well. For those with the crinkle dress or skirt, does it shrink or lose its shape after washing?

I like the length as it is on me now, (almost floor length), and can’t afford for it to get any tighter on the elastic in the waistband 😿

@Dee1224 I returned the red crinkle Freya because I found it had shrunk in the wash. In comparison, the black one with the check inside washes marvellously well. I know that doesn’t really answer your question but I am keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞

Thanks @Qweesh - mine has a check lining. It really isn’t screaming ‘I will wash well’ to me. I did ask instore and the assistant said she had one ‘similar’ and it washed ok- but then, they would say that…

Were Toast ok about you returning it due to shrinkage? Did you contact CS first or just go into a store?
